How to help your poor students?

Working alone won't take thing to the right solution, I got one question regarding this case. Have you talk about this issue to the school principal? If not yet, better go through this channel because it's a school principal duty to solve this case with the local community leader. This is how one community can grow with prosperity where everyone take part in doing duty and responsibility.

i know very well for the teaches who want to help the poor students, but i don't agree his menthods isn't correct,she should be know which one is his student who really wants.so i think the first thing is to keep in touch with him very frequently.when he accept you to be a good friend,then when he meet problem he will be inform you for helping.i'm very glad that the student whom is very worth to pay more attention.good luck and have a nice day!

Hello zhouxi. I think that the poor student without parents is supposed to be paid more attention to in his daily life and study. He needs to have love from people around him so that he gains more confidence. The major problem that he does not accept the clothes from the teacher is probably his lack of confidence and shyness. I am also a teacher and I too have some kids who are poor. Its a very sensitive matter and probably the best way to make a connection is to make friends with him first then slowly you can lend him a hand of help. Tell other kids to make him feel as comfortable as possible. The other students in my class help each other out and they stick together like a family.

i think we should respect the students .he did not accept other's alms-giving he has his own self respect. this is a good personality.the teacher want to help him just because she was in sympathy with the boy but you know the boy may look as alms giving and hurt his respect.we should provide some job that is easy but can offer some money or set up a scholarship as a reward.

As a teacher, you have so many responsibilities to do specially on the academic performance of your students. POOR STUDENTS here refer to ECONOMIC STATUS? Okay, the best thing to do is to interview your students or you must gather some data to to determine their status of living. If your colleague could really respond on this situation, so she must do it smoothly, step by step. Tell her to challenge her poor students to strive hard in their studies because later on, they will reap what they sow. And I was just challenged my teacher in first year high school, my adviser, that I must strive hard. And for that, I really proved in myself that I can. Just last year, I finished my college life. I took up BSED-Math and my former adviser congratulated me... I was very happy at that time despite of some difficulties that I had encountered.
