i was in grade 4 or about 10 years old and the screen is black and white. hehehe... i remember making shapes and shading them, but theres only gray, black and white! and im not that interested because my classmates share the same computer, so we are three in one pc, i cant take time to understand it more, so when i was in high school like 13 or 14, thats the age i was very familiar but not with the internet. i know how to use the internet when i was 17.

I had my first computer around 13-14 years ago when I was 10 or 11. It was given by someone who had a debt to my father so that was her form of payment hehe. It was black and white and the specifications are still very low. I remember all I did with it was play games by asking someone to copy them on a floppy disc. I had tons of these discs which had different games in them. There were also a few educational ones about the solar system or animals, etc so I also study using that computer. I have a baby brother now who is 4 years old and he learned using the laptop (including the touchpad) when he was 2 years old. At 2, he can already go to youtube and facebook, play different games and listen to his own playlist. Now that he is 4 and can spell, he can already type his favorite website..whew, technology...

This really reminded me of my university days, hahaha! I'm in 2nd year and around 17 when I laid my hands on a computer for the first time. It was one of the subjects that I have to take to finish my course. Fortunately, we don't get to share the computer with another student so I had the chance to really learn MS Dos and eventually Lotus 1,2,3, I guess. Imagine, we still had typewriting subject in my first year and we were blindfolded taking the final exams, hahaha! I talked my father into buying me one and it was still the bulky computer. Black and white and the printer was dot matrix. It was so noisy when you print. I still remember using the big, black square floppy disk to boot the computer. But not so long after that, the 3.5 diskette came to existence. It's really amazing how the computer actually evolved. Now many things are done easier and faster.

I think I first learned how to use the computer when I was around 16 years old. When I was growing up in school computers hadn't really become a big thing and we didn't really use them for a lot of work. So I didn't learn at a very young age. These days though my 6 year old nephew is pretty clued up about how to use a PC and it is quite shocking!

Lucky for you. Well, I belong in the third world country. And would you believe that I just got the chance of seeing and touching a computer when I was in my third year in the University, I guess I was 19 years old at that time. As an engineering student, we actually have a subjet in electrical engineering and our room was in the computer laboratory that is why we usually got the chance of using the computers.

old computer - old desktop that is still functional up to now
i was already working when i learned how to use the computer. we were even sent to training by our employers because in those days, we used our old reliable manual typewriters, then came the electric typewriters which we readily loved, . i was, i guess, already 28 or 29 years old (to compute, that was 24 years ago, lol). we still have the older desktop which we purchased after our first computer ... it is now old too but still functional.

I was 16 years old when I first learned to use computer from a training center. I used to have lots of problems finding the keys in the keyboard. Lots of time I asked our teacher about the location of the keys. Later I studied about how and why they were placed in such a way, and I never forget those days. Internet was not so much widely spread all over the world then, and we had to dial up and wait for a long time for the connections and as well as they were too expensive also. After learning basics and Operating systems, we learned Internet from the training center but in our home we did not have any net connection.

Hi shhheila, Well, if I'm not mistaken its about 12 years old. That was the first time I use computer. At first its quite hard to use computer. I learn how to type using keyboard. After I know how to use keyboard I learn to play games using computer with my friends. Its quite fun that days as we never play games using computer before this. Until now I think that play games in computer is great. Now the graphics is much better than before and the game is more real.

As far as I can remember, I am already using computer at the age of seven and only uses Microsoft Word. Of course I played with the Solitaire and the Mine but I always open the Microsoft Word. I forgot what I did with it before though...but I sure can't forget that I only reached the second page before I give up typing some more one time... As of now, I can reach until 100 pages just typing what goes to my head. Yeah, they are all fantasies, dreams, stupidities and what other people would not expect that I would think of...lol

i feel i'm much later tnan u knowing the computer. when in the senior middle school, i only saw the computer in my uncle's room. he bought it from outside for my cousin. i dared not to think of having one then. and after i entered the university, finally i can use computer when computer class. certainly i also went out to the web bar sometimes. when grade 2, my brother helped me buy one. then, only abt 4 computers in my class. very pride, and also very grateful. i allowed everyone i knew to use it.
