My Nokia 3210 is almost 10 years old

I have changed many cellphones already since the cellphone technology started being marketed. I have traded many of my cellphones for upgrading purposes. Others were given to my sisters or cousins. But there is one cellphone which I kept, it's the NOKIA 3210. For some sentimental reasons, I kept that cellphone with me and it's still in its perfect working condition. Do you keep your old cellphones?

I still have an old 1100 and it still works. It has a lot of battle scars and mojos but its still as sturdy as it was brand new. Battery life lasts for three to four days, beat that smartphone users, LOL

I have never owned a Nokia 1100. . . But for sure, the older Nokia models were good.

Hello Doris, yes I had an old cellphone like yours, 3210. But sad to think that was snatched and that was goodbye...3210 model was very durable that you can depend on...thanks

it's a sad story that you have experienced snatching. . . For me, the most durable Nokia phone is the 3210 .. . I have many other nokia phones but they all became defective after one or two years of using.

Wow... your cell phone is like 10 years old... i remember the nokia 3210 was very popular... i never had one... i had a 3310 which i gave to my brother when i went abroad and now i don't know what happened to it... my oldest phone is 4 years old... it is a Nokia 6170... and i don't intend to part with it... even if i already have a new phone...

Sometimes we become so attached to our old phones that giving it away is near to impossible. I used to have 3310 but, if I am not mistaken, I also traded it for a newer cellphone. ... I am now using a Nokia E90 series and Nokia N95 as an alternate phone. Have a good day.

I have that same problem. I still have my very first cell phone from the mid/late 90's. since then I have a drawer full of old phones I can't seem to give away because it has something on it that the other phones don't have. I wish I could combine them all lol.

I do agree with you that " it has something on it that the other phones don't have. I wish I could combine them all". The new cellphones may have new and better features but the durability of the older cellphones cannot be compromised.

hello doris, I miss my old 3310, i don't know why i had to give it to my cousin. gave it to him but was stolen by his friend some where in their place. i regret loosing that, it would have been useful in case i go outside, robbers are more often being active and most specially this coming christmas. yeah, keep the phone so that you can tell the younger generation about the first types of phones

As much as possible I dispose of old cellphones because for reasons I cannot fathom, I am afraid of radiation (I don't even know how that is possible). But my uncle who is the CEO of his company still uses a 3210. I think the older models are sturdier. My uncle's phone has gone through a lot, fell in the toilet bowl and rescued, banged around and still works!

Oh yeah, old Nokia model cellpphones are sturdier than the new ones. The new ones are more sensitive too.

Nokia makes good phones. I too have always kind of wanted to stick to their brands because they last long or more reliable. We had a few around the house but lost the chargers. And they have gotten way older then ten years.

Yeah, Nokia units are durable. However, the Nokia phones gets outmoded fast since there are many newer versions being manufactured in just a few months.

i think it is that kind of cellphone that you don't have to press a button to see the time or check if there is a message. i think it is the one that has the screen always on display. frankly, i wish all phones now are like that. i have one that my father gave me when i lost my phone. it was an old phone of his and the battery of that phone (i don't know) exploded or something. one of these days i swear i'd find a new battery for that phone.

that is just so good. all my old phones are already gone and now i only got the new ones. some are destroyed while others i gave it to my cousins, niece and nephews. its nice to gave those cellphones which are still good and in a very nice state of condition to my dear ones than rather have them go to waste. jhelai

Oh I have given aways some of my cellphones but since all of my cousins, nieces and nephews do have their own cellphones, I opted for trading in or swapping my old for a new one.

I remember back then when nokia 3210 was a fad. I was dying to have it. I was really happy when I was able to have it. You're famous if you have that. A cellphone with no antenna and comes with a game. SNAKES! LOL =)

I don't keep my old cell phones. I know my response is a bit too late and somebody may have already said something like this (and I did not read all of the responses), but I wanted to but in because the 3210 I also had a 3210 once. It was the 2nd cellphone I ever had. Well it was the first that could send sms messages. The first phone I had was a Motorola Microtac!

wow, congratulations! it's not common for someone to keep a phone unit for almost 10 years and still in perfect working condition. I don't even think my phones last me 2 years. That is one of the reason I do not buy expensive ones, its either the unit gets damaged, or I get tired of the unit so I would replace it. Keeping a unit for 2 years is already considered an achievement for me hehe

I don't change the cellphone in order to catch up the cellphone technology. I change the cellphone till it is unfunction or be stolen. My old cellphoe was stolen . So I bought the current one.

Wow, that is amazing. Perhaps you can tell Nokia company about this and they will be glad to hear that their product is still in working condition.

Really? Good for you then that you still have that phone for 10 years. I'm sure it has really a sentimental value for keeping it for a long year in a very good condition. For me, I don't have an old phone that I kept for a very long time.

I still have a Siemens S75 from 2006! How about that! Not as ancient as yours though, but it's still a tough little executive styled cellphone (of its days...long gone ;) )
