I am fairly new to using twitter. I have been putting up tweets with links to my newest articles of late, but I am uncertain how to gain a steady following. Also how would I go about finding people to follow that would be of interest to me? Any advice would be appreciated.

You can search for users that have the same interests as you. You can use the "suggested user" feature which will suggest targeted users. There are many directories you can sign up for free to find people you want to follow, you can set up a direct message for people when they follow you as well. Check you Twits Like Me, Twellow, Just Tweet It, Twittie Me, Twitdir and Twitter Karma which lets you see who is unfollowing you so you can do the same. It takes a bit of work, but you can gain a following if you put some work into it. Let me know what your twitter user name is via PM and I will do the same.
