Chocolate in chilli

I love cooking chilli and i have loads of my friends say its the best they have tasted in ages,but i recently went to a mexican resturant and thay said that a traditional chilli has got dark chocolate in it,has anyone tryed this and does it work??????

I've never tried this I love chocolate but don't think I would like it in chilli.

I dont now how that would taste but i tryed a chocolate with chili once... and i can oly say it was quite good! So i think you should try it. I dont now if it helps but the chocolate was from Switzerland and it was black chocolate with around 70% cocoa or somthing like that. So try it outh and if it works it would be nice if you could send me the recepie :P Have Fun! greaneagle

I have never heard of Chocolate in chili! That just to me sounds gross!!!

how come u get a choclate in a chilli... both opposite flavors mixed in one.. how would it taste??
