Hello mylotters,
Has anyone else had enough of this political war and name game that we call our government? I try to keep up with current events in the us as they effect my life being a us citizen. Seriously our govenrment parties sound like 5 year old pointing fingers at each other. Its sickening, i am a conservative and dont really agree with all Obama's policies but I also didnt agree with alot of Bush's either. I am so tired of hearing the back and forth political agendas everytime I turned on the news. When will we as american people just say " enough, either you stop this infernal political blaming game and restore our country to what it once was, or we will find someone else who will and replace you." Honestly speaking, I love this country and am proud to be an American, but I feel embarrassed sometimes by the spectical that the US political system has become. What do ya'll think?

Welcom to the politics section amanda, it's a bloodring in here to unfortunately.
I will agree whole heartedly with you, it's almost embarassing. We have two big commercial parties keeping a stranglehold on our government and political process and it id KILLING this country.

I agree that its killing this country, I am painfully aware that the US political scene has become the talk of most other developed nations. I greatly fear that our constant name calling and political scene will leave us open to greater outside attack. I do not like how open and vulnerable this has left us as a country. I am afraid that while our government is too busy chasing its perverbial tail that they have totally ignored the threat of being blindsided with another attack like that of 9/11. I pray for the well being of this country and her citizens for we are the ones who will lose, if indeed we are attacked again.

If you want my opinion here as non US your country does not bother to reflect how it makes itself appear to the outside world. Only US politics count, i didn't see one of the politocs here commenting on my discussion about the Greek elections, no interest unless there's a pending war, and then it seems as if no one in the country, including the puppet leaders, know where the place is without rushing to the atlas. It's almost an embarrassment to watch a country who believes that only its own poliicies have an influnce in the world. That's not an anti American sentiment by the way, but how it appears from the outside looking in. I don't see these years making a particular impact in the history books as anything of any note.

I completely agree with you, Amanda. It's incredibly disheartening to see all of those whom we elected to represent us fight like little children (that's a real example for kids these days, isn't it?). I've never seen so much finger-pointing and blaming.
I'm hoping that next year, we'll have voted the vast majority of these clowns, Republican, Democrat, Independent, Pink, Blue or Purple, out of office. That's the only way we're going to save America as we've known it all of our lives.

I would have to agree with you. I just want my children to grow up in a country that loves its people. Where the people have a say in what goes on and what lawsare passed. I feel like our government is sutting out the people and passing laws that directly affect us, without any care or concern as to what it is we the people want. Are my rights to vote and to be cirrectly and honestly informed of what my country is doing really gone?

Yes, yes, YES!!! I've absolutely had enough of the nonsense. I've had enough of being called names because of who I voted for and what issues I support. I've had enough of walking on eggshells because if I speak my opinion I'll be accused of attacking someone whom I was NOT attacking at all! I'm also proud to be an American so I've had enough of being told I'm NOT patriotic if I say there are some things we could do better. I've had enough of being told I based my vote on what Oprah said or that I "worship" President Obama or consider him a "messiah"!
It seems like I'm expected to apologize whenever I post a discussion about a conservative and/or a Republican. I typically get something like, "Why weren't you so outraged when (fill in the blanks with a Democrat's much worse alleged crime or sin!)" Guess what? I've been outraged, disappointed, worried, displeased and every other adjective you can think of about things done by members of both parties! However, WHY should I just follow the majority here and harp on those who have already been attacked here when there's plenty of topics to go around?
OK, sorry about the rant! I guess I'm done now...

I think there is much too much nastiness and negativity in politics in general. I do not like to hear people running politicians down, especially those I like like Obama and others. It is very rude and disrespectful to make comments to those who could have been paid alot more not to be in elective office.
