Here is the question I need to ask about Magic Jack. I want to get rid of the high cost of landline charge monthly, from BellSouth or AT&T whatever. I recently heard the radio advertising on "Magic Jack", voice over high speed internet, the yearly charge only around $24.99. It must connected to the DSL Modem or Router. So, if I surfing or downloading on my computer, can I also make a long distance call? Will the quality be affected?

Pretty much yes. I have been using magicjack for almost a year now and I love it. It depends on your internet connection, if you have a decent one you should not have too much trouble at all, things like watching streaming video and other bandwidth intensive things can sometimes make the phone studder, but I may just be having trouble because of my internet connection, I jump on my neighbor's wireless net for it (with his permission of course), but I think if you have a decent hard line internet connection you hsould be fine. I'd go for it.

That was my worry, I worried that if I doing something on my computer, like downloading, or watching youtube. At the same time, my mom calling someone on the magic jack, it might just interfere the voice quality. Is there any better suggestion or solution to it?
