Simply creating and submitting original content? I have been trying to focus on submitting things that are in the assignment section, but they are just performance mostly. So I was wondering if they would help increase my rating on AC or if I would be better off to focus on upfront payment and simply submit content regardless of whether or not it is in the assignment section. suggestions?

Hi Mehale, for those international writers who run of writing ideas, submiting for those titles in assignment section makes sense. If you can get upfront for your articles, why do you want to write something for page views only? It's a waste of time, and no guarantee that you will make more money from page views.

For the most part I agree with you completely. I have submitted some to the assignments lately...mostly to try to get my page views up as they are only a little over 2100 per day so far. They have come up some though. I am getting ready to start submitting for upfront payment again though. I have hopes that between twitter and facebook I can raise my pageviews anyway. Thanks :)

Hmm.. Interesting. Maybe I'll try some of the assignments just to see how I do. By the way, what is "upfront payment" in Associated Content? Do they pay you money once an article is approved and then you get paid for page views?

I never go go assignment as I prefer to write about products I have in the house. I find beauty and health to still be paying upfront. Travel isn't paying upfront anymore. They turned down 5 travel ones for payment. Susie. Pasco County Food Examiner on examiner.com

Thanks for the info. I will keep that in mind. I have been writing for some of the assignments in order to try to get my page views up. Between that, using twitter, and using facebook it seems to have helped some.

Mine automatically go to facebook, twitter, and wordpress, as I don't have time to do it myself.

I prefer submitted original content. However if you find it hard to think of topics that associatedcontent will accept for upfront payment it is always good to do the assignments. More than likely you will earn what it says you will earn as long as you follow the directions. I dont do many of the assignments because there isnt many for upfront payment.

I only choose 2-3 things from the assignment section every month. I prefer to write about my own topics and get paid up-front rather than just performance pay. I am not sure if it helps to write assignments or focus on your own topics, but I have heard others say it does help increase your up-front payment amounts and PVs when you write a decent amount of assignments. I have no idea if that's true or not.
