We always do trick-or-treating of course, but this year we might try one of those trunk-or-treats too since I have a friend whose church is doing it and it's open to the community. We are also going to the pumpkin patch on Wed! I'm so excited! We set it up right after school, and it's not everybody, just the group of us pretty much that picks up our kids and know each other. Are these some of your yearly traditions or do you do other things? Nothing at all? How do you celebrate?

As a rule I do not normally do much for halloween, its never been something that I have been brought up with or think much of. But with having children who are pretty into it now they are older I have to show a bit of willing! I don't agree with trick or treating, we have a lot of elderly people where I live and they get very scared around this time of year and many people now put notes up in their windows saying they will not open the door to trick or treaters so I had to think of something else for them. So, I have decided to do a type of treasure hunt, I have decided to write a story based on our house and something that happened in it and then I am going to plant sweets etc in the garden and they will have to hunt for them, and I am going to throw in a big scare at the end for one of my boys because he has been a little ratbag lately haha get my own back time! I am going to decorate the house and give them a party tea too! xx
