What is inappropriate on MyLot? Recently I had some discussions that some considered inapprpriate I disagree. My discussions were about Michael Jackson's idiosyncricies and his primal urges. I did not use vulgar or cursing language. What is inappropriate, as far as I can tell is, personal attacks against mylotters, threats, pornographic or perverted language talking about activity you wish to do to someone, etc. People tryibg to promote themselves or their company is the biggest no no. Political discussions can become sensitive because people can become heated and start to cross the line. But the beauty of MyLot is you can talk about anything as long as you can remain somewhay civil. You may not like a discussion about Michael's sexuality but that does not make it inappropriate. I have written many more topics which could be considered more controversial. I wrote "Leave "Dont ask, dont tell" alone and no one said that was inapproptiate. What about all these people writing negative things about the president, isnt that more inappropriate than asking who was Michael Jackson? I have had a few things deleted on Mylot and most al;ways I understood why. What makes MyLot great is you can discuss anything as long as you stay within civil and fair parameters, and they let you go a little beyond that.

hi sourceseeker I thought that your discussion on Michael Jackson was rather interesting in that a lot of us had a lot of questions about him that were never really answered. I did not see anything in it that was inappropriate compared to the dreadful things said in some discussions here on mylot about our president. Also some say horrible things about democrats and that makes my blood boil.I know that there have to be others here who like Obama and who are also democrats. but we feel we need to hide as there are people here who really step over the line of not making personal attacks.
