I have a desktop with following configuration, Pentium 4, 1.60GHz, 256MB RAM, 40GB HDD (PATA), no Graphics card, 2003 make. I want to use my 21 inch tv as a monitor for my pc. I don't want to use tv adaptor to connect tv and my pc does not have a slot to install latest graphics card on it. Old models of graphics card is not available here either. Is there any way i can get quality display on my tv without spending much on my pc hardware upgradation?

I also recommend you buy any LC monitor of any size because it is more complex and also this show off bad. So exchange your TV and buy a LCD monitor of 20inch .

LCD monitor dont give any negative impact on eyes when they are in large size while a CRT TV is bad for eye contact .

I liked that idea! LCD was already in my plans, but wasn't exactly for this reason. Anyways, i will visit a nearby showroom tomorrow. Thank you!

If you use TV as a monitor. I think you should by monitor because even if you buy a good video card the pixels of the TV would not change and Monitor is cheaper than TV.

I know, definitely there will be a resolution problem. I simply thought for graphics card because it would come at much less price than a brand new big screen Monitor. I'm still keeping my options open though :)
