Do you appreciate your elders?

Do you take the time to hold the door for older people, let them have the right of way when it's yours, give them an extra smile or two when you can, I do, I feel it's the least I can do for all that our elders have gone through to make the world what it is today, what about you?

Oh, absolutely! I do everything I can to do nice things for the elders in my life, or ones I meet in my day to day life. They have so much to offer, if we are willing to take the time to listen. I used to volunteer at a nursing home with my children, and we all loved it. Now time keeps us from such things, but now that you have reminded me once again, I think we should give it another try. The youth of today have no idea how hard their elders have had to work and what they've had to sacrifice, to offer them the world we all enjoy today.
