I guess it is a pretty simple question. So go for it answer it.
Tell me why would you like to live in the USA (if you are not living there, obviously)?
And what do you like in your country (I mean USA if you live there)?
Which things can make you feel proud about USA?
Are you patriotic? (question for Americans)
Okay and now I'm gonna finish my giant watermelon... okay that was random:D
BTW I love America, and no I don't live there... I wish I could... NY or LA would be a place where I would like to live.
Okay, now I'm really gonna go and finish that watermelon...

hi Justcallmestan,
I am from India and very happy here...Though USA is a land of oppurtunity and everything but unfortunately i dont like USA or what we get as turiousts who would always be throwing tantrums or would do everything which is not allowed socially here.. Also they dont take care of not to hurt local people sentiments.. And about american govt, less said is better because what ever they may say, they r the one who are real cause of terrorism..you dont beleive me.. read life history of Osama bin laden and see how he got money , training and arms and the contineous support of american govt to Pakistan which is epicenter of terrorism.. it make me laugh that american govt is giving pakistan F16 to fight terroism..r they going to nuke terroists..no sir they know it would be used against India..anyways sorry for all the comments but thats what i feel about americans and american govt..talk to anyone there and they say it is my govt doing i cant help it but when coffins start coming back home from war, everyone gets charged up and stop the govt to continue war there.

I would love to live in NY or LA. It is because US is one of the strongest economies of the world. You have all kinds of facilities and comforts.
What I hate about US is the family set up. There are not much successful marriages there, but you can find easily in India.

I am italian, and i have an overall neutral attitude towards usa. There are some things in american culture that i really can't understand but there are also so many good things in the usa.
The bad things are:
- The US government sometimes behaves like if it is the police of the world and interferes too much on other nation's business unilaterally. But that seems to be less true with the new administration.
United states have caused most of the wars in the last 50 years.
- American culture sometimes values too much the economical aspect of life, like if the only way to realize oneself is to advance in the career, make more money and buy nore things. Too much consumerism.
- The lack of welfare, i think that the state has to take care of its citizen no matter what.
But there are also many good things:
- The united states is the biggest democracy
- America produced a lot culturally in both music, arts, literature and movies.
- There are many cultures living together
- Most of the american people i've known are nice people

hello, frankly there are two side. one is i like the UNited states because of their concept of freedom where men and women have equal rights, inculding gays and lesbians as well. love their shows, series and movies that are truly innovation, despite some are remakes. i hate them politically, because they also interfered with the World affairs which irritates other Nations like in the middle east.but, what can I do? my country is also benefited from the US, in regards to almost everything that sometimes justice becomes blind when it comes some women being harassed by some US soldiers. am just practical, my country needs allies and US is undoubtedly one of them.

The US is popularly knows as the land of equal opportunities. People who can not practice their professions in their own country for limited options choose to go to the US. People who are in search for greener pastures go to the US. I actually have 3 sisters who became US citizens after living there for a long time. Though I like the country, I would rather stay home. The USA is a good destination to travel as tourists.
cheers!

hi justcallmestan okay a simple question? I am an American and I am proud to be here.it is my country,I was born here, I live in a free country, I can go to the church of my choice or not, I can walk down the street and not walk into warfare. Yes I do love my country. I love everything about it.But take it from me, pick a smaller city to live in if you decide to live in the US, they are so much better to live in. Our freedom is what makes this country great for me. so we are not perfect but we have so much going for us that others do not have. I will stay here it is my country. For one thing I love the watermelons our country grows, all the great fresh produce at still fairly decent prices. I love the fact that we do try to pay good wages to our workers, yes I am proud to be an American.

The United States of America was--and still is--something extremely fresh and unique in the world.
We have only been "civilized" as a people for a few thousand years. In that time, many conquerers set out to own the entire known planet. Alexander, Ancient Rome, the Ottomans, Khan, Napoleon -- and then the really bad and really recent: Hitler.
The world past really never gave power to any person, much less the people. Most of the world's countries and territories have always been under the rule of some dictator, in one form or another, save some nomadic tribes and whatnot.
When the USA formed, it broke from the British, who were the eminent power at the time. Our Declaration of Independence and Constitution and Bill of Rights and power put into the hands of the people and a fair, small government were all brilliantly original ideas that made the USA different from any nation that had ever existed.
The country was a victim of the times, in so many ways, and it's a shame the founders couldn't escape slavery. It's a shame that the Native people of this land were treated like they were. No nation is perfect, for certain, and America has its fair share of stains.
However, with a citizenry no different from the rest of the world other than a cause they could believe in, freedom, America became the world's superpower. We became a safe haven for those seeking refuge. We excelled in many aspects of free living, and other parts of the world followed America's lead.
Young American men, most not old enough to shave on a daily basis, answered the call, repeatedly, to help keep both their country and the world safe. The US helped defeat Hilter's Germany and Japan in WWII; we fought back communism--even though many people, younger ironically, think communism is a "good" thing--and helped keep it from spreading. And at this very moment, America, without much help from the rest of the world, is trying to defeat Islamic radical fundamentalists, deadset on killing every man, woman and child who doesn't pledge their allegiance to Allah.
Our identity is fading with each passing day. We have a lot of problems here with government trying to control lives. That's not what America is about, and in the coming years, there's going to be a lot of news about our fight to recapture freedom.
That's what makes America great and keeps it great: freedom. And if yours is in jeopardy, we'll fight for you, too.
