So will Hiro return from the past in time for Peter to heal him? What if Peter bumps into someone with powers and loses the healing ability before he can heal Hiro? It is too bad that Peter can only have one power at a time now.

Peter used to be able to control and call up what ever power he wanted. I stopped watching last season when they turned Sylar into Nathan. But this season looked promising, still holding my breath. Did they explain why Peter can't seem to keep more than one power at a time?

Peter can't have more than one ability at a time because his father took his original ability to sponge off of other people. He got this ability from Mohinder's serum and it's a kind of perversion of his original ability. It's a challenge for him now to work with what he's got at the moment. Standard comic book gimmick. Milo said, either on some late night talk show (I don't remember which one because I only watched it to see him) or at ComicCon, that they are going back to the way the show was in the first season, in terms of the structure of the stories and the characters being either good or bad, heroes or villains with very little grey area in between.

even in the first season it was as if he couldn't retain abilities. He had to learn from that guy who turned invisible how to recall them. I don't know, I think I liked it better when Peter could keep the abilities he had absorbed, then he was like the anti-sylar.

It kind of looks like Peter absorbs peoples powers on purpose. Because he took Hiro's then touched Emma and didn't switch back to hers so I think mostly he has to want to take their powers.
It's so funny that they brought Charlie back into the story because I was just wondering why Jayma Mays (who is now on Fox's Glee) looked so familiar.
The next question is if Hiro is able to save her, what will that do to Sylar now... the butterfly effect, as it were? The problem is that sometimes the writers catch those things and sometimes they don't, but I think with him getting his memory back the way he did, it's kind of an important question.

I have to say that was a very good post and really gets you thinking but if you remember Charlie had a brain tumor and if they cant cure Hiro's then Charlies still a goner but nice work bringing up the butterfly effect it does pose the question could the creators miss such a large flaw. I'm looking forward to see how it all turns out and by the way Sylar FTW!!!
