I recently started a discussion about working at Wal Mart and I decided to start this one about things that have made you want to quit, the other night was Sunday night and I closed at Wal Mart like I typically do,except the cart mule was broken, and it was busy, and I was trying to keep the parking lot clean by hand which is impossible to do when you are by yourself, and they did send me help from time to time, but they kept leaving, and at one time I got called in for a carryout while the parking lot looked like crap, and they told me I had to stay until the parking lot was clean I mean they said a single cart can not be in the parking lot,and I was so pissed, and lucky for them they sent three people out there to help me an hour before I was supposed to leave, and we managed to get it cleaned up completely and got to leave at like twelve after ten, which is better than eleven which is what they threatened to make me stay until if the parking lot was not clean, there were so many times I wanted to quit that night but I did not, because I want to keep making money to help me and my wife get the things we want, and to help with our future, and I am hoping that the Cart Mule is fixed when I go back Thursday or I might put my foot up someones butt,so here are my questions,In any job that you have ever had did you ever had an incident that made you want to quit? What was the incident?Did you quit?If so what happened? If not, then what made you decide not to quit? Are you glad you did not quit?Do you think more incidents would happen?I appreciate all of the responses I get,but I ask that you take this discussion seriously, and if you can not respond seriously then please do not respond,Happy Posting.

Hi Cowboy,
Everyone has days when they wish they could just walk out of there job. Before you make a quick decision, please consider how hard it will be for you to find another job. How long can you manage without a paycheque? If you don't find another job soon, do you qualify for government help.
I know in Canada it is very hard to get Employment Insurance from the government if you quit your job.
Maybe on your days off you can start looking for a new job, and once you find one you can quit Walmart with peace of mind.
Good luck to you and your wife.
Oh, by the way, have you ever been to the website www.PeopleOfWalmart.com -- it's so funny!

He didn't actually say he'd quit, he was just ranting about how the job is right now. He knows that he has to wait before quitting, if you read above, it may not be this one but hsi other discussion, I've stated that what we are going to do... Lol, oh and please take no offense to my statements I mean no offense by them.

Well I know how you felt on Sunday as you told me after you got home from work, and I felt bad that you had such a horrible night. I have also told you about times that I wanted to quit but I will also relay them here in my response for others to see, as well as you know I enjoy ranting about these times. There was the first job I ever had where I did quit after four days, One waitress told me to write this way, another a different way, and one said I had better write it like this or they'd make me do it over again... I was a senior, so my reason for quitting was because of studies though I did not like that One said this the other that. Another Job I wanted to quit and did was Wendy's, though I had adjustment disorder problems then... Another job was working for hotels in another county, and you told me I should quit which I did. I was surprised I didn't quit before as it wasn't my favorite place to work, I was constantly working and hardly getting sleep, which was evident when I would sit down in an aisle at wal*mart hanging out with you and a friend, and I'd fall asleep... Also I'd get sick to my stomach. I don't regret quitting there. Then there was a time before the hotels where I wanted to quit but didn't, and I am glad I stuck it out...
I think one thing is that nothing is ever harder then it seems... Though the hotels were hard, they could have been worse.

Yeah I know I told you how I felt when I got home Sunday night, and I know you felt bad that I had such a bad day,and I know you told me about all the times you wanted to quit, and I know you quit your first job after four days, and yeah I know you quit at Wendy's and I know when it came to the hotels I told you to quit because it was too long of hours and it wearing you out and making you fatigued, and yeah I know nothing is harder then it seems and if you just stick it out everything will work out in the end,and I will stick this job out and see what happens, thanks for responding,I love you with all of my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

I think that people say to stick it out as usually when you do stick it out and go through the tough times in a job you end up in a higher position at the store and are able to have more power and free reign, as well as sometimes a set schedule. I love you, and you left that part out at the end! lol! Love you so much.
