if its a cellphone software, i'd suggest you get in touch with the particular phone maker of which this software is designed for. that way, you'd get more attention for it. you wouldn't get much if you just randomly select a website to put that software up.

i would suggest that you put up a website and a blog to sell it and market it to different social boolmarking sites, directories, social networks etc. sell it on ebay.

Perhaps you can try to sell it in ebay, I've heard that you can sell lots of things in ebay, such as ebooks, software, etc. It's pretty good that your husband has come out with the software, I always thought of building software and selling it, so that I can earn some extra income. It's really motivating me from reading this.
