getting my brother in law outta here!!

My brother in law has been livng with us for almost a year now. During tht time I can probably count on one hand how many job applications he's turned in. He just doesnt want to work. He's 29 and never had a job! My husband recenlty left fot the military and now Im stuck living with this low life. Before my husband left he made it clear the his brother was to look for a job 5 days a week. I mean leave the house and look, not just tootle on the internet. Now my husband is gone and its been two days in a row of screaming matches getting him out of the house to look for a job. I'm pregnant right now and just dont need the stress and I have little patients for his never ending excuses. Can I legally just tell him to leave? He doesn't pay rent (I stopped taking money from him as soon as my husband left). he lived with his other brother for a while and refused to leave and for some reason the other brother couldn't legally get him out right away. The cops said that they couldn't do anything. Should I expect the same problem? Hes know for a while what is expected of him but he seems to think that everyone is obligated to help him and he does nothing. I refuse to help him anymore if he's not going to make any effort.
