Will you access mylot from your office computer?

Just 45 minutes are not enough for mylot I think..To choose the discussions to respond itself will take about 15 minutes for me..This is not possible in the office environment for me..As you are doing this during your lunch break, you will not be having any problem for your job except the time constraint. If I am like you, I will start one or two discussions in the office and then I will leave the comments after reaching the home..Also responding to the discussions need much thinking and time, if we want to contribute them with quality..This is not possible in the office always.Thanks for your response to this discussion.

As you are not an employee, this will not be an issue at all.You have the right to do anything of your interest..it is like working from your home only..no need of fear about anything..OK..little away from this discussion....Will you allow your employees in your office to work with mylot or with any other money making sites in their office hours? Just I wanted to know the mentality of the employers also..Nothing else..Most of the employers will not like their employees if they do their personal works in the office..that too if they try to earn something with the available resource in the office, how will they behave? If you are the employer, how do you react?How you will reply back to this...Thanks for your response to this discussion..

Thanks for your kind response but your response seems kinda rude. don't be rude brother, i don't respond anything, what may make you crazy. i just respond from my situation and from my stage. but as a employer, if i see that some of my employee access mylot or other site which are not productive and positive for my business, i will not accept browsing this type you activities in my office by employee. but if i sure that time no any work and this employee is sincere, honest on office work, may be i will consider him/her little you use mylot or another site little.

If everyone in the company started to think as like you, the overall productivity will be much better and I really appreciate your attitude..Even if we are allowed to do our personal work in our offices, I will limit it only with the opening of my mail account and replying to them. As mylot needs time to participate , it will not be possible in our offices.Also we need little privacy to participate in some community sites, which will not be a possible one in the office environment. I have one friend, who used to do all of his personal works in his office only..He was doing his research in his studies .It needed a lot of time..But he did them in his office only..Recently they terminated him from his duty..So we should be careful , if we are about to do our personal works..we should never spend more than 30 minutes..Thanks for your response.

I used mylot as a discussion board not as earning where I can take over my mind to other side like daily workload of office. after some relaxing on my lot I do work and go home happy without tension of office work.

Without peaceful mind , we can not do anything in mylot..This is not possible in the official environment.Also if there is a restriction to not to do, then if find when doing so , we may have to even loose our job..Some of the organizations are very strict in this aspect as the productivity of the employees will reduce greatly, if they are allowed to do their personal work in their office. We will be interested in our personal work only as we are getting benefit twice.Our personal works are completed..Then for doing our personal work, we are being paid indirectly..is it not? Just we can check our mail accounts and can reply to them if we are allowed to do..Else, our home is the best place to do all of these things.Thanks for sharing your opinion in this discussion.

Working with face book also like working with mylot , I think. It needs little concentration and time to participate. This will not be possible in our office as we have to be keen in our official works. Even the employers allow us to do, then we may not be able to finish our official works. When I was working in one office, we were allowed only to open the email accounts and we are not supposed to reply back to the mails even if they are personal mails.The reason is , the employers stared to chat with their friends as like they reply to their emails, where we were allowed to reply.After knowing this , they restricted the reply option also..As I already relieved from there, I don't know what is the present limit..I think they will not allow even to open the email accounts. The employees are ready to violate anything, if they have little opportunity.Thanks for your response.

As the sites like mylot needs much interest ,patience and time, we may not able to post the discussions or the responses with the required quality.We need to have watch the others to know if we are being watched by the others. Some of the offices are allowing the employees to check their email accounts.(only to check and not even to reply for them).Also they are restricting the websites with some software so that we can not pen the sites if we don't have any need to open for the official purpose.As in the schools, many of you will be sharing the connection and hence the speed will be much slow..this is not the case in our home. If the connectivity is slow, then we may not be able to open the mylot itself some time..Thanks for your response.

Only few offices are giving such permissions to their employees like yours. As you have mentioned, working with online community sites in the office environment will not be suitable as we need be much patience while participating and can not be done in urge, where it is not possible in the offices.Also there should not be any interferes.This is not possible there.Also we may not able to concentrate in our work and this is the main factor. In our office, we can check our mail in box .Even to reply them, many not be convenient one, if we try for that in the office.If it is our home, we can do at any time and we can take time as we need.Thanks for your participation in this discussion..

Yes.No one will like to see that their employees doing their personal works in the office.Here they are loosing two things.First the productivity of the employees is reduced and affected.The next is they are wasting their resources like electricity, computer, internet connectivity etc,.But there are some employers to allow their employees to do some of their personal works so that to motivate the interests of the employees in the organization. But this is very rare case and only very few are doing so..On the other hand, most of the companies are allowing to check the email accounts(only emails) and not the other websites.Thanks for your participation in this discussion and take care while using the office computers for your personal works.
