China kills prisoners and sells their organs - should we do the same?

There are many articles out there about China's policy to sell organs. You can make an inquiry they will obtain a prisoner with the right blood type, etc. then execute them and send the organs to the hospital requested. I could never support this type of policy but that doesn't mean it couldn't come into play here. I don't support most of what the government does but they do it anyway. As China begins to own more and more of the US things like this really bother me. It sounds so far fetched but then so does having avowed communists in high level government positions - yet there they are. Take a minute to read up on the practice - I just googled the phrase "kill prisoners for organs" and came up with tons of articles. Could it happen? Is it that far off the mark - Obama is determined to change America and make it like the "rest of the world" could this policy come here? I once thought it was ridiculous to think the government would ever own two of the three major auto manufacturers, that the world would quit trading oil on the dollar, that the government would decide how much money the CEO of a private company can make, this list goes on and on. Would the government even listen to us?

Hi wlee, why could you never suspect this kind of policy, it has been going on for years in China and Harry Wu did much to expose it well over a decade ago, having lived through the Chinese prison system.
Did you also know that with the one child policy abortions were forced on women about to give birth, because the quotas for the number of childern born had to be kept exact. Dis you know that a woman had to get a permit before she was able to even think about getting preganant because if she didn't have her permit the quota would be over exceeded.
There have been many barbatic practices over decades in the Chinese system. Maybe you should try to right those rather than relating it to a new world order as Obamans plans.

I agree thea09 it should be righted - but that's up to the Chinese people to do. I can only work and maybe even affect the way the US does things here. China is famous for their human rights violations but someone has to be purchasing these organs for it to work. I see a lot of things happening here in the US that I don't like and fight against. It frightens me how far we have already gone. It feels like our very constitution is on the line.

that sounds terrible. but i cant help but wonder how may lives could be saved on a daily basis just from criminals that have been murdered by cell mates and whatnot. though i dont agree with this practice in its entirety i think that there can be a positive way to use this.

All governments engage in unsavoury activities - or allow multi-national corporations (which usually have more money than governments) to do the same.
Just think about corporations putting additives in food, giving hormones to cows to make them produce more milk or knowingly using cancer causing chemicals in packaging, etc. It's not a great leap to seeing humans as a resource to sell rather than just sell to.
