What movie has had an impact on you? Whether positive or negative explain what aspects of the movie and how the movie affected you.
Personally, Boys Don't Cry really had an impact on me in the sense that it was a true story and that happend to a real person. Tina Brandon was a girl posing as a boy and the people she got mixed up with did not accept her and actually killed her. The rape scene in the movie was so devastating and horrific for me to watch. I couldn't imagine what she must have been through when it happend to her. The disgusting way her identity was revealed by the two men made my heart ache for her. Even days after watching the movie, my heart went out to Tina and regardless of what her personal preferences were she was a human, she was living in a free country, she did not deserve the treatment nor did she deserve the punishment. It really showed me how selfish I can be with my view points on different subjects and how those views may hurt another whether intentionally or unintentionally.

For me the movie Syriana had a tremendous effect on me. It opened my eyes up to a world of business that I never realized possible. It also opened my mind and made me think more about current events, how our country is ran and what influences corporations have on our government.

Did this realization change you as a person? Was there something you wished to do bring out change? Did the impact of the movie make you a different person? I'm curious to know? I think Boys Don't Cry made me a better person. I may not agree with how some people choose to be like, but I've made a decision within myself that all people deserve respect and the only way they can lose that respect is by breaking the law, being a bad person themselves, etc. not by their personal choices about life and relationships they make. Therefore, I no longer look down upon someone just because their thinking or style doesn't not match my standards.
