Have any of you had problems with your insurance companies refusing to pay for you to have surgery? I was just told that Blue Cross will not pay for hernia surgery, cause they have to bring in a plastic surgeon to do it.

You go for Reliance insurance, That really pays you in every critical illness,

Not for surgery but for MRI, and medicine for migraines. They said I had not suffered long enough to warrant a MRI, and wanted me to take cheaper medicine. The whole industry is a joke

It is sickening. I've never heard of that. If it is medically necessary they should pay. I would call Blue Cross if it wasn't you they gave the information to. Also, speak with your doctor and see what he/she can do. Maybe send your medical records/history to Blue Cross showing the need for the surgery. Best of luck.

Sorry, I've never experienced it. I think there are a few options before insurance claims signing the contract. This option affects the insurance premiums.
