I had been unsuccessfully looking for a water drip feeder on ebay when I found some automatic feeders for water and dry food. The photos was not clear so I emailed the seller.. Me: I was wondering if you could tell me how this gadget works? I have a little rabbit. They drink heaps of water but if it is in the open it gets contaminated quickly. I was looking for a drip feeder. Thanks Seller: hi there this is not what your looking for thanks I'm thinking ...how abrupt, he can't even be bothered using correct punctuation. I sucked it up and sent this: Me: Why thanks...yes, I'm aware that it is not what I'm after ...are you able to tell me how your gadget works? Please? I have not been able to find a drip feeder so I am looking for alternatives. Seller: hi there been rude gets you nowere with me so please do not waste any more of my time Now the way I see it, I was polite and he was not. They have this facility to ask the seller a question and he was abrupt and unfriendly and did not answer me! That's just ignorant. I'm so cranky, I wish there was some way I could report this cretin.

You were NOT rude, but the seller sure was. Even if you forgive the poor spelling and grammer...what kind of seller would treat a potential customer this way? None that want to stay in business! I haven't been on ebay for a long time, but they used to have a rating system for the sellers. I would post a comment there that the seller was unhelpful and asked not to have his time wasted in answering questions about his product. Maybe they've taken that feature out. As far as your drip feeder, if there's a farm/feed store near you, I'd check there. Pet stores seem to cater more to people with dogs, cats, birds and fish. You would think that a water drip feeder would be the most basic of supplies for people with rabbits, guinea pigs, etc., wouldn't you? I'm sure that farm/feed store will be able to help you. They are more apt to carry no-nonsense supplies that work, not the expensive fluff at pet stores. Good luck, and let me know if you find one!

He has blacklisted me catdla...never in my life has anything like this happened to me. You have to buy something to leave feedback on the seller...and because he has me banned from any contact I can't do anything...that's so not fair. He had a good store and I was going to sign up for their newsletter but I can't. As for the feeder, they seem to be a scarce item. I will keep looking. I'm going to see Dad next week and I always call into a huge pet store for my dog meat. They will be sure to have something.

Thee must be a way to file a formal complaint at ebay...for whatever good it would do. I can't believe that there are no farm/feed stores near you that sell them. It's such a basic supply for anyone raising cage animals. Do you have a veterinarian that you use? They might be able to get you one from their supply catalog?

I don't think you were rude at all. He obviously doesn't know the meaning of customer service. Just put him on your list of sellers not to buy from. I am sure you could make some sort of official complaint on ebay but it probably wouldn't do anything.

You have every right as a customer to ask and the way I see it this person may not like being asked again. You are no where rude in your words but he might be in his bad mood and being online his anonymity is well protected and that give him the license to say what he likes . Neither would he fear of losing you as a customer as ebay is a popular site and this free online market is assured of worldwide business at their doorstep. We have seen enough of rubbish floating in the cyberspace and bad behavior top the list when dealing with unknown people online.

He has had the site blacklist me against having any further dealings with him zandi...if I do my account (which I have had for many years) will be suspended. That's just unfair that I can be accused like that without being give a chance to have my side heard. That's plain wrong.

To be honest MsTickle, sometimes I wish I could hit someone upside the head!! Because these types of people make me wonder what are they thinking?? THEY'RE the ones who are selling, NOT you!! So if they want to sell their product, they sure need to change their attitudes! Like with my mother, she has a horrible attitude and I'd like to knock her upside her head! I don't understand these kinds of people and NO YOU WERE NOT RUDE AT ALL!! I'd write his azz back and tell him, "You must have me mistaken with someone else and if you'd read what I said, you'd see I WAS NOT RUDE I was asking a question which you ignored however, YOU CERTAINLY ARE RUDE and because of that, I don't want to know anything at all about your product. In fact, you can put it where the sun doesn't shine!"

Exactly my feelings on the matter Cats...but the thing is, I liked the store and their postage policies (he obviously has a female partner who designed and set up the business as it is a very cutesy page) so I tried to sign up for their newsletter...he's had me blacklisted!!! I'm not allowed any contact with them at all...can you believe it?

I did complain at the discussion forum on ebay and was basically told to be thankful to discover what a creep he is before I bought something and to let it go as he's not worth bothering about.

Well my friend I would say you had a lucky escape, and probably saved yourself from being conned, that kind of person would probably have taken your money and you wouldn't have seen your goods. He was touchy blacklisting you wasn't he? Mind you it's his loss, and if he has that attitude with you, pound to a penny he'll be like that to others so never take it personally, the man is a buffoon and he doesn't deserve business. He has the problem! And everyone will back you to the hilt you were in the right, I would love to have someone like you bidding for an item! So many dubious operators on Ebay and it sounds like he's one of them!

The weird thing is, he has a pretty good rating on ebay. I don't care if he was having a bad day, there was no call for him to speak to me or deal with me that way. Yes, I agree, it was a lucky escape. t's done me a power of good to see everyone back me up, there are some good people here, that's for sure.

Hi MsTickle. No, I don't think you were rude at all. It seems very strange that this seller was so abrupt with you. Maybe his English isn't so great and he misunderstood what you said? I doubt that is the case, but it's always a possibility, I suppose. I don't really check out eBay nowadays, but I thought there was a way to rate sellers (as well as buyers), unless this has changed over the years. If you haven't done so already maybe you could contact eBay directly and report him, if you so wish to do so. Personally speaking I wouldn't even bother. This seller will loose enough prospective buyers with an attitude like that. So, have you been able to find a different feeder for your rabbit?

I can not understand why he got offended by your question, the ask seller a question about an item is there to be used. Just don't worry about it, if he treats all his customers like that he will have none left.

Hi MsTickle I do think that there is a way to report a seller acting in this manner. I have been ordering off ebay for quite some time now. I too had ran into someone that wouldn't by their choice to answer my question. I sent in a complaint to ebay and I haven't seen that seller being that active since then. You might want to go back and report this seller. Ebay needs to know what kind of person they have representing their site. I wish you all the luck and honey you done nothing wrong. Have a great day and keep smiling...

Hi rose...I finally figured out how to report this seller and I've been in contact and I've heard back from ebay but they want to look into the situation further. Most sellers are very genuine and friendly so this guy was a real shock to me. Thanks for your comments.

IF you have an ebay account i would have told him to get his supervisor and tore him a new ashole. thats like getting customer service when they dont speak the language and you keep saying what, what what, its pathetic, anyway for about 2 bucks more you can get a rolling ball bearing feeder that spins when the rabbit licks the tip and i doesnt let any contamination in or up the stem, petsmart, petco or any pet store has them maybe even wal-mart.

hi there MsTickle, Now I am a fairly sensitive person and I read over that conversation twice and I do not see where that person feels you were being rude at all. When you put an item on ebay to sell you have to expect questions and be willing to answer any questions about your product. From my standpoint, it looks as if you were asking logical questions in order to decide if perhaps his gadget could be used as an alternative for what you really wanted. People like that are not worth your time, MsTickle. As for feeding your rabbit, I would look up local people who are raising and maybe selling rabbits and inquire with them. Maybe they have a used feeder they would be willing to sell or could direct you to where you could maybe get one. I think I know of the drip feeders that you are looking for. Sounds like maybe something I've used in the past for some guinea pigs that we had??

Hi MsTickle! You are not rude. I don't see anything wrong with what you said that caused him to react that way. I think he should not be in the business like that for he doesn't even know what customer service is all about. Even if they don't have what your looking for they should still answered you in good manners. Customer service means attending to the needs of your clients. Giving accurate answers in a polite and respectful way. He doesn't even answered your question, what is he thinking????

That sort of person should not be selling on ebay if they are not going to provide basic customer service.
