which is the best opening pair?

I know friend old is gold but with the time people need something new. So I will prefer sehwag and gambhir as opening pair. Why I am not choosing sachin and ganguly because ganguly has lost his charm. He is no longer a good batsman now (after seeing his performance in last IPL matches). So the New choice is Sehwag and Gambhir.

These days its Gambhir and Sehwag, they probably score at a faster rest then most others. The starts they have been giving in the past couple of years have been unbelievable. They really make it easy for the middle order to capitalise. The right and left hand combination make it difficult for the bowler and they also have very different styles of play. Gilchrist and Hayden were another good pair in their days. They managed to keep it going for many years. They scored quickly and were also very good between wickets. They were both left handers, but their style of play were so different making it difficlut for the bowler. Tendulkar and Sehwag were also good and so were Langer and Hayden in test matches.

If your question is which "IS" is the best opening pair., then my vote would be Sehwag and Gambhir. Not only these two play well with each other, but they also compliment each other very well. They share a good understanding, which matters especially when running between the wickets is concerned. Moreover, they make a left-right combination which make the bowlers work that much more harder. Sachin has clearly seen his Best days. He would be better off coming at No.3 and playing the role of "sheet-anchor".. If your question is which "WAS" the best opening pair, then my without any second thought my vote would go to the great combination of Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes. What do you say?????

HI i think Sachin and Ganguly were the most popular and the best open pair for India and they had set many records for the 1st wicket partnership. I don't think anyone can replace this pair in the future. But Sehwagh and Gambir are presently doing well for the country as well as global cricket lets hope they steal the show like Sachin and Ganguly did.

hi shaga ... now the answer is too obvious dude.. its the godly partners Sachin n Ganguly.. well they worked very well together and the most important thing is when ever they worked together our team WON!!! that is more important for a partnership to be succesful.. they were also good friends outside the field and were awesome on the field too so i feel this makes them the best opening pair..

I think sachin and ganguly is the best opening pair in the world. Hayden and Gily is also good but not as good as sachin and ganguly. And for sehwag and gambhir it is just beginning.

i think sachin and sahawag are best opening pair for me, but today sahwag and gambhir are best opening pair in india. have a nice day dude.
