Are PTCs REALLY worth it?

I have been clicking on PTC sites for about three years now. I'm not sure whether I've made a profit or not.
The reason for this is, although I cash a lot of money out, the investments that I put into the sites in the first place are generally quite high, meaning that on the sites that fold quickly, I have to get that investment back from some other site.
So, even though it might look like a certain site (Neobux for me) is getting me loads of profit, I'm not sure it really is if I take into consideration the amount of money I've spent and lost on other sites.
What do you think?
Are PTCs really worth it, or are they just a huge waste of time?

until nd unless u have a gud number of referals it is surely a waste of time.we cant make it big alone.i havent invested in getting referals in any site rather i would prefer to get them thru my blog though it takes some time but its k for me.
