I too hope the Yankees will win. That would be a great day for me. Then they can get some rest before they have to go up against the Phillies for the World Series.
I was very disappointed to see that the Phillies won against the Dodgers last night. I can't believe they are going to the World Series again this year. Last April, I picked the Phillies to go all the way. But this year I was hoping for the Dodgers.
I would have really liked to have seen Joe Torre get to go up against the team that got rid of him. I lost my job at almost the exact same time and when he said If they wanted him there, he would still be there, that's exactly what I told my friends about my position. It was some good support for me at the time.
Oh well, maybe next year. But then again, if we are going to think about next year, isn't "Next Year" always the year of the Cubbies. LOL
Enjoy the game tonight!

Unfortunately they will probably win, they bought the best hitters and pitchers and it seems like this year it will finally work. Hopefully the Phillies can make it interesting, but ultimately I think the Yankees' potent offense and solid starting rotation will be too much for the Phillies to handle

I knew it along that the Yanks were going to win like they did. The yanks are great team thanks to consistent hitters but more importantly amazing pitchers. They have a great trio; Burnett,Sabathia and Rivera which is a unstoppable force. Every game the Yankees Won or Lost they had to work hard and be patient. In conclusion the Yanks deserved to win and Hideki had 6 Rbis and .615 Batting average which is insanely good. Go Yanks 27th World Series and yes 27 is my lucky Number!

With the off season acquisitions of Javier Vazquez and Curtis Granderson along with Nick Johnson I think the Yanks will be right there at the end. As far as winning it all that will depend on the front end of the rotation in my opinion. If CC, A.J. and Andy can all stay healthy and come close to last year's performance then I think they can do it again. The back end of the rotation is much stronger than last year which will help in the playoffs. The outfield defense should be stronger with Granderson in center and Gardner in left. As far as the Phillies go I don't really see too much competition for them in the National League so yes, they will be in the World Series for the 3rd straight year.
