How many other countries have you been to?
Some people haven't ever been out of their own country, and have no desire to do so. Do you fit into this category?
Or are you one of those people who are going to make me jealous and say that you have been to many countries? LOL
I live in the U.S. and have been to 5 other countries: Canada, Bahamas, Mexico, Philippines and Japan.
What about you?

Hmmm. I have been to 3 countries, though I'm not sure if the two could be considered 2 separate countries. lol.
I have been to hongkong, Macau and in Japan.. they all have their interesting sides, and I loved my travels to all of them. In hongkong, that was my first time in disneyland, which was really exciting. In Japan, well, I just loved the country! it was clean, and pretty, and the people are so nice, and they all look like they came out from magazines! And in macau, well, it was my first casino experience, and it sure was fun! I am hoping to visit Macau again, but this time I'm taking my boyfriend.

You are right about Japan. I couldn't believe how clean it was. I think us Americans could learn a lot from them. They are extremely respectable people as well.
Thanks for your response. I hope you do get to go back to Macau and with your boyfriend as well. I am not familiar with that country. Now you have given me something new to research. Have a great day!

Oh I met quite a few very nice people while I was in the Philippines. There were some who stared at me. But I think that was because they were surprised to see a white single female in the country by herself. However, the people that I did business with, and the people who I met there were all great.

I know, japanese are really disciplined people.. I wish that it can also be said here in the Philippines. LOL. anyway, Macau is part of China I think, there are 3 islands from what I can remember, and the tourist attraction there is the big hotels and casino. if you ever plan on going there, definitely stay at the venetian hotel. it's really gorgeous.

I have been to Japan, Korea and...Singarpore...all of which are Asian Countries.
Since, I was a small kind, I entertained a dream to go to the U.S.
I'm wondering to take an economic class taught by Yale professor Benjamin, and I'm thinking of signing up for courses in electrical engineering at MIT, computer programming at Stanford, chemistry at Princeton, climate change policy at Berkeley and medical science at Dartmouth. ...
Haha, don't get me wrong! I am not going to take any online courses. It's just a daydream and I don't think it matters.
If you ask me which city would i like to go, I will tell you it is NewYORK, nEWYORK.
hAVE A NICE DAY

Thank you for your response here in this discussion hiddenwing. New York, NY is an excellent city. I want to go back there. It is just so expensive. Sometimes I think it is cheaper to go to a complete different country than it is to go to big cities like that here in the United States.
I know it was definitely cheaper for me to go to the Philippines, because that was a working vacation, and all of my expenses were paid, including the flight. I think I actually saved money going there. : )
Thanks again, and have a great day here on myLot!

Why not you go to China? hehe
Trust me, it is not scary at all as you may imagine. I said that cause I found that the some Amercan channel somehow didn't totally tell you guys what China was really like sometimes. Let's put the politics alone.Lots of Chinese are very friendly to you guys, really. I am so sorry to watch a drama so-called desperate housewives. All Chinese in there are either bad people or vulgar people. In order to buy a big house in China town, one shanghai woman even had a baby for other couple. OH MY GOD!
Why bad guys are always Chinese in American dramas?
Sorry to say it! I hope you don't mind! I just wanna tell you Chinese are not so bad as a drama described!
So, welcome to visit China! I will treat you a dinner if possible!
Well, Philippine is nice! hehe
Best wishes!

Hi there hiddenwing, maybe you can sum something up for me. I met a guy who was Chinese blood, but born and raised in Singapore. He said in China it is hard to find people who speak English. Unlike the Philippines, where most people speak English or it is easy to find a translator.
I wouldn't mind going to China if I could get a job there like I did in the Philippines. If you know someone who needs work from an American and will pay for flight, room and board, let me know. LOL
Thanks again, and have a beautiful day!

Well, Brazil sounds amazing, and I would love to go there. There are so many places that I would love to visit. And well, I still have 9 of the United States left to visit as well. I guess I'll set my sights on those first.
Thank you so much for your response in this discussion nolipo. I know, it's easy to forget Canada because they are right next door. LOL

Well, I hope you enjoy your time in the Eastern part of the country. I have always lived east of the Mississippi, and only have 2 states west of it to see yet. Those are Delaware and Mississippi. Then I have 7 other states to see, for a grand total of 9.
Thanks again and have a wonderful day!

Yes, Brazil is very nice, nice and warm, lots of people. I spent two weeks there and it was wonderful. As far as the US I've just recently started traveling. Most of my life I lived in one town, and had ventured to 3 or 4 states. But now I've moved out east and have in the last year been to 6 states. I have a lot more to cover.

I have only briefly been to the Bahamas. My hubby has a dream of traveling to Ireland one day. I hope to make that a reality for him and myself. May not be until we retire.

Maybe you will get lucky and win a trip to Ireland. That happened to one of the guys that I used to live with years ago. Him and his wife really enjoyed the trip. I think he has some Irish blood in him, so that made it even better. Plus, they brought back ink pens for everyone in our department. I thought that was very nice.
Thank you for your response in this discussion. And I hope that you get to do lots of traveling in the future!

Well, try not to wait until you get rich. Just go the first chance you get. It is amazing seeing the different cultures of the world.
I myself think it is amazing just seeing the different terrains of the United States.

I love staying at nice resorts. I really haven't stayed at anything all that fancy, but some of the places were just nice in general. It sounds like you have been to some unique countries. I hope you do get to travel the rest of the world as well. Thank you for your response in this discussion, and good luck to you!

Thank you.
My country is really a beautiful country. People who visit here love it. For myself being lived here all my life I would like to see countryside, mountains, and changing seasons.
All I get to see in Sunny and Rainy. LOL
I don't know how much it will take you to reach here but if you ever decide to visit Maldives let me know. I would be glad to host you or help you in anyway, but mind you my house is really tiny and nothing fancy.

I have traveled to more than fifty different countries because I am very keen on traveling. I live in the UK. I have visited France in my childhood, Greece at age 14 and the Netherlands at age 17. When I was 18 years old I went to work in Finland and then I traveled around Europe. At age 19 I went to Tunisia and also at that age I went to St Lucia. I was 20 years old when I went around the world for just over one year. In my twenties I went to Israel and Jordan, on safari in Kenya, to French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Samoa and New Zealand. In my thirties I have been to the Seychelles, the Maldives, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and South Africa. Next year I am planning to visit Canada. I hope that you will continue traveling to many more countries. Good luck.

Yes, I have really been to the Philippines. I just came back from there last month, as a matter of fact. I was there for 18 days.
I went to Angeles City, near the Clark Air Force base. But I flew into the Manila airport, and visited Manila another time as well. We were looking for Christmas lights when we went to Manila. Yes, that's right, I said Christmas lights in September. LOL We didn't find any and had to make our own.
I was visiting a friend of mine who owns a hotel there in Angeles City, and thinking of staying there to work for him. But, I wanted to come back to the U.S.
Thank you for your response, and have a great day today!

I hope as time goes by, that you will be able to travel around to different countries and see the world.

Yes, I haven't visited any countries before. I live in China, have a dream of travelling around the world. Although I haven't been to any other countries, I really want to go out and enjoy the culture and scenery of other countries and people. If I have any chances in the future, I will visit your country, which is really a tourist attraction.

I guess for some people, like Europeans, the United States is a very inexpensive place to travel. Whereas, for us Americans, Mexico and the Philippines are very inexpensive places to travel.
I haven't ever been to China, but hopefully I will get there some day. I think after I finish the United States I want to go to Europe though. I believe it would be really neat to see the castles and Stonehinge, etc.
Thank you for your response, and have a great day here on myLot!

Thailand, I think that would be excellent. I have heard a lot of different things about that country, but do not know anyone personally who has traveled there. That is that I can think of anyway.
However, I did meet a guy when I was traveling who had been there. I think he said that he had gotten some really good deals.
Thank you for your response in this discussion and have a wonderful day!

I would simply love to travel to Europe. My sister and her son received the opportunity to go there a few years ago. They just loved it, especially France. They both want to go back first chance they get.
I had never really given Finland a thought. But, I would jump at the opportunity to go anywhere. I simply love to travel.
Thank you for your response, and have a good day!
