What is your parenting style? Personally I don't freak out and say no for every little thing.I like them to find out things for themselves.

I'm very laid back when it comes to my parenting style. I let my two children explore the world and learn a lot of things on their own. That's the way that my parents were to me and that is the way that I want my kids to be able to explore and learn about the world as well. Plus, stresswise, I think it is a lot better to be this way.
I have some friends that just freak out about everything and after the fact it always makes me laugh. The child got a grass stain or they tried to eat dirt. Well, both of my kids have done these things several times in their lives and I either make them swish some water afterward or I pull out the old Clorox 2.

I am a pretty grounded person and I feel the same way about my kids. There are just some things they have to learn on their own. I enjoy watching them take risks and learn from the good and the bad. I think it is important to let your kids explore so they can naturally learn boundaries. If I hover over them I think they would feel claustrophobic. It is funny because my parents were to same way. I am very much the same as they are in a lot of ways. What about you? Is it the same as what your parents were like to you?
