does craigslist really work

i have tried selling a few stuff on craigslist hoping to make some money. the things i am selling are in very good condition, some are even new. i take pictures of them and post them on the site, too. so far i haven't been able to sell anything. does anyone of you have tips on how to really sell stuff on craigslist?

I sell quite a bit of stuff on craigslist. Posting pics like you do really helps. But you need to talk it up too. Make it sound like the person can't live without it! You also need to make sure your price isn't too high. If they can get it at a garage sale cheaper, then what's the point of driving over to someones house to pick it up? Know what I mean? I hope this helps you out a little bit!

oh so i need to do it as if i'm selling my stuff face-to-face. good idea. what i do is i describe the product and i say whether it's new or used, plus the pictures and the price. that's it. i'll edit my postings then. thank you menolly22.
