get stinger v.2.0 for free. it free to download, easy download, scans immediately and removes the viruses and also cleans up the file which requires cleaning. i use it and i suggest that its the best with regular updates.

I have Norton for now. A friend of mine said to try out the Defender Pro. My mom's Norton subscription was going to run out so she ended up getting Defender Pro. She installed it and she had several dangerous items taken off her comp that Norton never caught. My friend has been using it since it first came out and totally swears by it, he will not use anything else on his computers. Once my Norton subscription runs out I getting Defender Pro.

Hi! I really like Norton. We had been with Norton AntiVirus for 5 years and then someone said to try McAffee since we had 3 computers. It was a nightmare, the install blocked 2 of our computers because they have something set up weird. I called them and spent over 2 hours trying to figure out what was wrong and then they finally realized it. She said, oh yeah, we get this question all the time when someone has a multiple computer account. I said, then why did it take 2 hours and being transferred 10 times to get an answer? We're back with Norton and they have been great to us.

I have used Norton, McAffee, and AVG and to me none of them have worked. My mother-in-law turned me on to Avast--it is free--and I love it!! Since I started using it, about 6 months ago or more, I have not encountered one virus on my computer from the internet because it works 24/7. If you download something off of the internet, it will catch the virus when you open the file. And if you visit sites with pop-ups, it will catch the virus that is attached to the pop-up. Now I have had some virus' that I received from different programs on my computer...like Morpheus (a music down-loader), but a soon as I did a scan they were caught and removed. I like it, I have not had one problem with my computer since I started using it, and it doesn't slow my computer down like Norton and McAffee. I suggest it!!

Can't tell you that it's the best, but I personally recommend AVG (www.grisoft.com -or- free.grisoft.com). I dont like McAffee and Norton I find them to annoying and they lack one essential thing - they're not free and neither are their updates.
