I saw a discussion going on tv on this subject. I think its pathetic. They say that women are good mothers so when tey become mothers they should care for their children and not work. But in today's world, women are as equally strong, deserving, intellegent in all aspects as men and this topic would be really controversial. What do you think?

I think that this issue is really up to the mother in question. If she chooses not to work, for whatever reason, and can afford not to work, then by all means, she should. However, if a mother wants to go back to work, then why shouldn't be able to work? I think that society should make this decision for each individual mother. Each mother is in a different situation and it's the mother who is able to make the appropriate decision according to the situation that she is in.

I think that either the mother or the father should be at home with the children. Being a woman why would you want to start having children if you were not prepared to care for them. Why have children if you are just going to let them be raised by other people.
Having children is a full time job, and the kids deserve to have a parent with them at all times,
I may be old fashioned in my thinking, but i believe that we are having so much trouble with the kids today being in so much trouble, committing crimes so early, having no respect is because their mothers are not their anymore, they are more worried about having a career. and the kids are either left to defend for themselves, or they are being raised in day care centers by people who do not care at all about the kids they are caring for.
Yes women are strong, deserving, intelligent in all aspects as men, and they always have been and if they want a career then they should not be mothers because it is not fair to your kids if you can not give them 100% of your time.

I think women are strong.they can handle being a mother and a manager at the same time.a woman can take care of her family and herself.personally,if I ever get married I will not quit my job.I would like to have my own money.I may have a family, but that doesn't mean I should stop being an individual and taking care of myself.

It depends on the individual mother. If she have some good relatives to take care of the little child she can return to work soon. And there are play schools which take care for money.I think, she shall free herself from her work for some years and go back to work later.Anyhow, her husband should give her the mental and moral support on this.Cheers!

It depends on the woman. If the woman wishes to continue working, then she can continue to work. If she does not want to work, then she is free not to work.
Some women become weak after they become mothers. Such women cannot work. It is the duty of the husband to provide for the family. That is the importance and sanctity of marriage.
