I have family recipes that were passed down to me and I use them. I have an aunt who buys the prepackaged cookies and uses them. I also go to cooks.com and find recipes on there because they have a lot of easier recipes. Also try going to Pillsbury web site they have some great ideas.

Well, baking cookies is really very easy for me. I just buy cookie mixed and follow the instructions in there? and my cookies come out very good. When I first start making cookies, I have lots of damage hehehe... but as the days go by, I can make really good cookies. I just use the cookie mixed. My hubby really wants cookies everyday so, I have to make cookies once or twice a week.

Maybe it's your oven temperature. Sometimes an oven's temperature is not adjusted correctly so that you are cooking at too high a temperature and it burns them and dries them out, or it is too low and they do not cook through properly.
you can get to an oven thermometer to check that, there is a way of adjusting it but I cannot advise you on your particular brand, usually it is through a small hole, shaft of the oven switch if it is electric. Electric ovens tend to dry foods out though as you probably know if you have one.
Of course there are some people who just cannot Cook for some reason, they just do not have the knack. Usually if you follow a recipe things should turn out okay.
