The Shield...I Still Miss It!

If you never took the time to watch the FX series The Shield, I have to say you really missed out. Not for the prudish, the crime drama that made you root for the bad guy kept viewers wondering what could happen next. Who could we not trust this time? How much further could they push the envelope? And when it ended almost a year ago, I was transfixed to those final episodes. The final episode with Michael Chiklis sitting there in a suit and tie in an office broke my heart. The hidden gun made me smile, believing there was still some fight left in good ol' Vic. The family photos made me want to cry. In the past year, no other show has come close to making my heart race like The Shield did. I miss Vic and the gang. I miss the drama of the Barn. I miss being excited for the opening scenes and being sad at the end of the episode. I think I may have to invest in the DVD's. Although it won't fill the void of having new episodes to look forward to weekly, at least I'll get to see the guys in action.
