The first song that makes me a Beatles fan was THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD. From then on, I just keep listening to all their songs. Im still keeping their CDs.
Let it be, hard days night, Get back....those are my favourites. Sometimes I will sing these songs when I do my bathing.

Originally I did not care for the Beatles very much. I think that was because everyone acted so silly about them. I do, looking back, like them a lot, the sound was part of my growing up years, I think. I like Yellow Submarine, and I like When I'm 64.

Hey crazydaisy! The first Beatles movie was A Hard Days Night!
That came out before Help! I have way too many favorite Beatle
songs! I liked "And I Love Her", "If I Fell", and then there
are just way too many more to list! I was and have been a Beatles
fan for so many years! I also love John Lennons song "Imagine"!
He was my favorite Beatle and I was devastated when he was
killed. I till listen to their music and love it now as much
as I did as a kid!

Hi Opal and CrazyDaisy. Sorry for butting in but I wanted to say something about the day John Lennon was killed. I had JUST returned from the Caribbean (my honeymoon) the day that he was shot. I had such a wonderful time and was very happy to be back home, then WHAM! That news knocked me off my feet! I cried so badly when I heard that John had been shot and killed, especially after having such a wonderful week cruising around the Caribbean Islands. I cried because he was just making a comeback and getting his life on track and I LOVED that song of his, "Imagine".

Hi MW! Great to see ya! Now I was getting ready for work and
had the radio on as I always did in the morning. I was putting
on my makeup and heard the news and screamed and started to
cry! Now I live only 45 minutes from Manhattan and knew where
the "Dakota" Apartment building was where he was killed! I
have been to "Strawberry Fields" in Central Park many times
which is the memorial to John Lennon. It is a lovely place!
My boyfriend was in prison (not for murder), but was in the
same prison where that miserable baastard was being held! He
said he saw him many times! My bf has been out for a few years
now, but told me the story! How's that for coincidence!

I haven't seen a Beatles movie, but have a couple of songs that I'll never forget. Yellow Submarine reminds me of when I was in London, as all the patrons of the pub I worked in used to sing it. Another, Paperback Writer was the only English song on a Spanish jukebox where I was staying, and I played it over and over. Thanks for the memories, ceazydaisy. Mike.

For acoustic, I love, Michelle, Norwegian Wood, Across The Universe and I Will. For Electrified, I like Dig A Pony, Come Together, All My Loving and While My Guitar Gently Weeps. You know Daisy, the list that I provided you is not complete, having been completed the Beatles Records at an early age, I think I was 11 years old, I listened constantly to them everyday for 10 years. I love their songs and they are my influence in taking up the guitar. Now I'm an Eric Clapton freak, I listen to Beatles, Clapton, Marley, Randy Bachman and Buddy Guy to name a few. Without the Beatles entering my life, I won't be able to meet other icons of music.
As for the movie, I love all 5 but the only one to pick as for this response is Let It Be, it shows the typical Beatles, arguing, agreeing, enjoying and recording.
Take Care Daisy!

For you started at 11 yrs old I can just guess how good you are today at playing the guitar I must admit you have good taste in music, songwriters, & guitarists/players. Clapton had amazingly fast fingers. My alltime favorite Beatles' songs are All You Need Is love and Come Together, plus I just love all of their old rock 'n roll tunes like Roll Over Beethovan, Can't Buy Me Love...etc., the really fast stuff. Just great sing-a-long and dance music back in those days, so many to remember, the list goes on and on.

I like the first three that you named, too. #1 because that is what my husband and I all we need we feel like when we're together. #2, I like the music, different. #3, I like to sing it with a group of people. It's fun.

I was and am a staunch Beatles fan. In addition to the ones that you mentioned I also raved over 'Hey Jude'. This song always touches my heart strings. There was another one cakked "Obladee Obladaa' Life goes on, Yeah! That is also a favorite one of mine. Then the classic that I still can cry to is "Al you Need is Love". I think that that one is my all time favourite. great discussion.
