Have you ever borrowed anything and forgot to give it back?

I have borrowed stuff from people and have forgotten to give back what I have borrowed. I sometimes forget I have it because I have such a busy schedule. Someone has to remind me that I have something I borrowed. I don't mean to do this to people and I feel really bad when I forget. I try not to borrow things in fear I would forget to give the item back. It's kind of risky and I don't want to take the risk of losing the item either. I don't want to be called a theif either. It's just better off if I don't borrow anything at all.

Never. My mom instilled this in me that if I borrow anything from anyone and forget to return it, I'll have to return it on the Day of Judgment. Now if you believe in religion and have that theory somewhere in there, its going to really prevent you from ever forgetting to return things that don't belong to you. So to date as far as I am aware, I've never forgotten to return any borrowed items. There sit on my head like a burden that I must lighten at the first available opportunity.

Hi tuckersheri, I'm a careless person and often forgot to return the stuffs I borrowed.. I realized that this is a bad thing, and still trying to fix it.. My most forgotten thing to return is dvds,lolz.. Everytime I finished watching it, I just put it under the shelf and done, I forget about it.. Even the friend I borrowed from doesn't remember the dvd I borrowed.. In the end I always return the dvds one or two months later after I tidy up the shelfs, lolz The second is the comics.. My shelfs is always the final destinations for the stuffs I borrowed.. Luckily I always borrowed them from the same person, and he never complained, hahaaa.. Thanks ! :P

I've ever borrowed something and forgot to give back, but it just a couple time. I try to remember to give back anything I borrowed from someone because I'm very afraid if I forgot it especially if I borrow some money, it's sensitive thing.

I have the same feeling sometimes, actually,it's not your fault, because you are not intend to give it back, maybe you just forget it for several days, when you borrow stuff from others, you can write them in a small book,if you forget it,you can take it out to check.in this way,we are not worried about it any more.

Nope. I do not recall ever doing this. I am usually pretty prompt and responsible when it comes to borrowing things from people and returning it in the same condition it was lended in. I do not recall ever forgetting but I may have.

This has never happened to me but I have certainly allowed others to borrow some of my things from time to time and yes they have forgotton to return the items. I don't like this and when this does happen I tend not to lend to them again. As you say, the safest thing is not to borrow anything at all. It's nice to share and give and take and things like that but it's very unpleasant when people don't return things on time. Andrew

I have borrowed a book from a former office and I forgot to give it back. I always remember to give the book back everytime I see the book on the shelf but I always forgot to. That's the only thing that I ever forgot. Mostly I have things borrowed by others and they forgot to return it back to me. And I don't like remeinding them always. Sometimes things borrowed are not returned and they like to keep it because they like it and they say it is a souvenir from me. Hmmm...

I don't remember any situation where I forgot to give something I borrowed. I hate to borrow. I would prefer to starve if I don't have money to buy food instead of borrowing from others. Usually, I borrow money from friends. Whenever I borrow money, I set a reminder for the very next day to give the money back. I have a friend who kept borrowing money from me and other friends and never gave back. Now, she doesn't have friends and everybody tries to avoid her.

Frankly,I don't like these people who always borrow things and never return. So do the family members of my uncle-in-law.They take our bowls, hairdrier,or anything they could borrow. We rarely recall the items. The worst thing which makes m angry is my uncle even sell us bad fruit which can not be eaten. What a bad uncle.

Then we shifted our house and now when i was cleaning my house i got this CD's and i was like ohh i didn't gave him back. Well now its gonna be with me i think if he doesn't come searching for it.

As for me, this situation does not happen to me. Whenever I borrow things, I try to separate it with my own belongings so I will always remember that these things are not mine and I have to return it immediately after use. Just like you, I am trying not to loose it and since the thing was only borrowed, I need to handle it with care.

I remember back when I was in high school. I borrowed somebodies math book because I didn't know where mine was. I took it home and kept it in my sights. I still to this day do not know how it went missing but when I woke up the morning, the book was gone. I found it six years later in a box while I was moving and still have it today.

never. i really don't like people borrowing from me and forgetting to return the items. it is my habit to write things down in case i borrow things. i don't like to forget returning them because i don't want to lose their trust on me. lending things which are very personal actions because these things are extensions of her person. i should value the item the same way the lender values it. she puts his trust lending it to us so, i will never fail him and make sure to give it back to him.

I do not remember not returning anything I have borrowed but a lot of incidents have occurred where it is the other way round.People have borrowed a lot from me and never bothered to give it back. This has happened with books and money. In fact I just remembered that I have to recover some money a couple of people had borrowed from me.Thanks for jogging my memory!

Not realy. But on those times that i was near that, i tried to out pour the simple rationale to the lender but indeed,it was often thorny to get them convinced that you didn't mean making away with thier assets.
