Hi to all mylotters. Just want to ask if your happy to have your current first name? My first name is Charmie, and guest what? I'm a guy! I also have a second name which is Camille. Your right! It's a girl's name also. When I was younger, I keep asking my self why they chose that names and sometimes they make fun of me. But as I grew, I've realized that the most important thing to a person's identity is his/her personality and attitude. Now I'm happy that I got that name, it's kind the unique and can't be easily forgotten. What about yours?

If I were you I would cal myself PrinceCharmie, or Charming...yes thats a funny name. Don't worry about those of us with perfectly normal names get made man of other reasons, all through school I had so many redheaded related nicknames that the only people who used my name was the Teachers, except the coach's they called me bigred, not sure why I'm tall but not big, skinny actually, I guess it's because I always came up big in critical moments of whatever sport I was playing...lol

Wow? Cool, I haven't seen a natural red hair in personal. And in Asia I think there's no one here with that kind of color, it runs on Americans right?

When i wss younger i didnt care for my name but now i like it. My name is Judy. Its not very common. I had an aunt named Judy and only knew 1 other Judy at school.

LOL. That's was kind a fun, thinking what may rhyme to Judy. Even though I could afford to change my name I still wouldn't want to, I believe that it's my parents gift to me and I should treasure it no matter what, they have their reasons for that name. We have a TV star name Judy Ann Santos.

Wow? That's cool, having the same name and almost the same face. I wished there's also a TV star with the same name or even a screen name that he'll used in front of the TV.

Yes, I'm happy with my name, "Bianca" because some are telling me that its a nice name but my second name is "Caecilia" which is from saint Cecilia. At first I don't like my second name because it sounds ancient but now I'm fine with my name. Hahaha! I can't believe that you're name is Charmie and your second name is Camille? Its really unique. :) You should be glad that you're name is unique. :)

Got it. I've read it. :) Yes, it always happens. i have a classmate when I was in fourth year highschool and his name is Maritoni. Almost all of us thought that this guy is a girl so we put his name on girls list and we're shocked when we saw him because he's a guy. :)

Ehe. Go to your preferences and look for a small box, very small, it says view mature content, something like that. I had that problem also and searched it here in mylot.

Hi C.C. That's what I would have called you. Do you like it? My real name isn't sarah. I use it here because I Hate, Hate my real name. I won't tell you here. I guess we have to become friends so I can private message it to you. Anyway. It is a nice enough mname but it is always being spelled incorrectly and said wrong! i hate it. I won't change my name legally because it was my mom's favorite girl name and it would be disrespectful to change it now that she is gone. So I am stuck with it on all the legal stuff but I am Sarah everywhere else. Having to defend a name I hated Really took it out of me growing up, but now the world can use it but I Feel like Sarah inside and that's what counts!

You really hate your name right? Yup, you shouldn't change your name legally for that will make you mother sad even though she's gone. Don't worry, what matters is what you believe and how you feel about it. If you think and feel like your Sarah, you are.

I don't mind my name now, but I didn't much care for it when I was a kid. It wasn't an uncommon name Derek, but other kids use to say, "Isn't that some sort of crane?" - Derek
@derek_a (10873)
25 Oct 09
Yes, Derricks (I'm not sure how it's spelled) are large cranes in the ports that are used to get cargo of ships that have come into dock. They used to roll up and down the quay on railway lines. I'm not sure if they have them any more as I learned about them manny, many years ago! - Derek

I have a friend named Derrick. For me its a cool name, but I didn't know its somehow related to a crane?

I like my name. I have never wanted to change it. But I have heard of some mens names sounding like a girls. I am sure some people have changed there names to if they don't like it. In the USA people can change there names for a certain amount of money.

your very right. I would rather keep the name my parents gave me then change it. They gave me my special name for a reason I am sure. My name in Native American Indian means princess. My name is Sally by the way. I never wanted to change my name but I am sure others have.

I do agree with you, friend. It's not the name that will reflect to a persons character but it's personality on how she/he inclined with good behavior and other good deeds in life...I am happy with my name. Because I know that this is not a big deal for myself...Don't be dismay if your name is like that because your not alone...Have a nice day!

I am shock, really, i did believe that your picture is only an avatar, so it is you?? But you are right, names aren't that important, like if there was a boy somewhere in Davao with the name Erap, will he be as famous as the Real Erap. i dont think so. But if that boy "erap" has showed tremendous skills, and kindness, worthiness to his friends and family, he would be in you tube right now. My first name is Frederick, as in Frederick the vii King Frederick and so on, Frederick is a ruler, but unfortunately, the real Frederick that you see typing here, isn't a ruler, its my wife that rules here, Carmelita( thats my wife)
• Philippines
24 Oct 09
lol. Your wife is the ruler, we call that "under" right kuya? Yup, it's me at the picture and not only an avatar. Your right, it is not our name that will lift us if we want to be known, it is personality and attitude. Cheers!

I was just trying to make you laugh, well it is half true the the wives rule. it is usually 50/50 and everybody has a voice including my 10 year old son. I see you are still young, but once you get married just remember what i said, the wife rules. And You can catch a lot girls with that, Tell them you'd want them to rule your world and they will come to you.

But then, as I grew up, many have commented how unique my name was so I like it now. Haha! :)) I like it so much now that I sometimes get irritated when people mispronounce my name...

I think it's great that you are secure with your identity and your name. I've never liked my name. For most of my life, I've gone by my middle name. If it weren't so difficult, I'd change both my first and last names to something I like.

I have a long name -visalakshi.Many people shorten it and call me visa which I like .Some also call me visalu which I hate .I cannot understand why people add words to their whims and fancies. So I sometimes regret my name .But ofcourse this matter is very compared to the umpteen problems we face in life .So I just pass it off.

I was only semi charmed with my first name growing up. It's a rather common name and I always thought the first image in my head was some strippy blong sitting on the hood of her car to tan in a trailer park. LoL. But my parents convinced me that I got my name in a way to be proud of so I was cool with it... until I found out my mom hates my name and only named me as she did to get back with my dad for insisting that his first son be named after him. I'm named for my moms twin sister.

My first name is Chysom. In 26yrs, I have met a single other person with this name. And they spelled it Chisholm. When I was younger I hated it, because I got teased a lot and know that I am older I have no problem with it, except when talking to younger people or people that want to know what kind of name is that. Cheers.
