I love reading newspapers but I don't go through all the news. I just scan the newspaper and find articles that I'm interested and that's it. I don't measure the time spent in reading a newspaper

Hi riyandhaka,
Thanks for your response,
I don't understand why most of us would read only the headlines. Is it due to the time constraint. I don't read the business page i skip it as i don't understand anything about it.
Have a great day

Hello. I subscribe to a newspaper here, and , yes, I read the newspaper every morning. That's the way I keep informed of the developments in the city, nationally, and internationally too. I read the Business Section regularly to stay informed of the latest developments in the different business sectors. That is related to my job too.

The technology would have shown the easy ways, but one must surely add interest in reading more and more of anything, the newspapers would be the best possible way to start. The daily affairs, happenings,of all fields, relations and much more will be brought out by ourselves for ourselves and others if one takes time and read at least the headlines of a NEWS.
I being an Indian, read the locality newspapers,in my state Kerala,I am a regular reader of the newspaper named,"Matrubhumi',and "Malayala Manorama".Not most of the time I get to read the English newspapers but take time to see the News channels for information.
The internet has the database to all of the information by the fraction of the second, but information is information, right. In any way I guess.

We buy Times of India and Bangalore Mirror. Just like you, I too just go through the paper for 15 minutes. Read all head lines, if any interesting matter is there, then I will read that news. I skip sports news, politics mostly except few matters, Education, Property etc. and feel appadi time saved. But my husband will tell me some gist about politics and some general news after his reading. But when I was working, I was reading three kannada papers and Deccan Herald in my Department.

Hello. I'm not fond of reading newspapers. Whenever I find one I just look at the headlines and headings of the news. If I find something interesting I read it. I also usually jumps out to the sports and entertainment page. :)

I get a warm fuzzy feeling thinking of the time when I would sit and read everypage of the San Francisco Examiner Sunday mornings with a cup of coffee with a splash of Bailey's. Now I get the news off my yahoo home page. I read the headlines and if something sounds interesting I open it and read it. I also read online the Union Democrat a small town newspaper where I live. It is scary to know your neighbors so well.

Hi deepa,
At home we are buying Times of India and in office so many newspapers are available. The Hindu and The Indian Express is the top among them. But to be very honest, I don’t have the habit of reading news paper in detail. Very rarely I sit with newspaper and read the same thoroughly. At home I read the headlines in front page only. If there is something special, my hubby may convey the same. I used to go through e-paper in net. Sometimes I need some scholarly article for office and I am in search of that. My favourite newspaper is ‘The Hindu’.

Hi Deepa
i too read Deccan Herald and Times Of India. I will read the headlines first and if it is interesting to me, then I will go deep into it or I will go to the next headlines. In this way i will read the entire news paper, excluding the sports section in which I am not interested. I will concentrate on the Cross word and suduku in which I am interested very much and every day I will spend some time with them till I solve them, I won't get up from my seat.
