I always feed our dogs Kibbles and Bits. It is relatively inexpensive, and yet they seem to enjoy it. They also have a variety that is vegetables and meet, so that is a nice meal for them both. The main thing that our vet told us is that whatever you feed them, to be consistant. Don't change foods every time they run out. Purchase the same thing all the time. It's ok to purchase different varieties, but different brands will tend to mess up their little digestive systems. Also, limit the number of snacks you give them. Treats are good in moderation, and can be used for house or pad training. Giving them people food is NEVER a good idea. I catch my kids and their friends feeding Baby scraps. I get angry at them because then she decides she doesn't want her dog food, she follows every where there is someone with a plate, bowl or bag.
