for me, its still Windows XP. vista and 7 simply uses too much resources. and yeah, it is possible to have 2 OS in one PC. its called "dual boot" because you have 2 OS to choose to boot from.

Between, vista anc xp, I think that xp is better. I haven't really seen anything on windows 7 to know how good it realy is. I am probably going to upgrade from vista to windows 7 eventually, that is if I can anyway. Either I will upgrade, or I will just buy anohter computer with windows 7 on it. The thing of it is, I really don't want to have to pay for a new one, as mine isn't all that old, as I got it in January this year. It is a good lpatop as laptops go, and I haven't had all that many problems with it, and I am glad about that. I have had compaq before this one, and I like this one better as it does what I need it to do. Take care and happy mylotting.

You should go for Windows 7 it is the newest OS out there. It is stable as windows xp with the interface of Windows Vista. You shouldn't opt for Windows XP nowadays because soon Microsoft will not support it anymore it's end of life is near so will be phase out on the market.

I think windows xp is more stable than windows vista. And windows 7 seems cool, because it was new and not many are giving reviewnya should just use dual boot to windows xp and windows 7. actually windows 7 better than Vista, many applications windows xp are compatible. if you want to try switching to open source it would be better. you can use GNU / Linux Ubuntu or Open SuSe with KDE 4.1 (which is more cool than the windows 7)

i am still using xp professional. xp is tweakable and let me say it's almost been mastered when it comes to technical issues. others find vista a bloating OS where it takes a lot of memory from your system and makes your operation not so good. while windows 7 on the other hand has some issues when it comes to drivers. they say, win7 is combination of xp's performance and vista's GUI's. yes, you can have dual OS in a single system - and you will be having dual boot everytime you start your system. you can choose from system to another during start up.
