What if a doctor during a consultation would tell you a very bad news. Gently telling you that you have a cancer, how would you react to it? Then, how will you handle it? And, what then will you be doing?

I would be terrified, but try tio stay positive. it is a horrible disease, so cruel, but they can do a lot these days, to help you beat it, so i would have faith, pray a lot, and try to remain positive, that i would get better. I would be very scared though, it is a frightening disease, i think everyone dreads being diagnosed with....

Yeah, I just hate the fact when doctors just tell them nothing to do about it. Yup, most of doctors do. Why'd they do that? I there really no more cure for a cancer?

If I was told that I have cancer, I would want to know two things right away. One, how bad is it and two, what can I do to fight it. I am a strong willed person and do ot give up easily. I would be a bit upset, but ready to stand and fight every step of the way.

Well most of the oldies relative of mine have been diagnosed with it already. Different type of cancer for each. Some had liver, lung, prostate... Just seeing there reaction when they find out really hurts me also. I could already feel the pain they have by just looking at them. Poor fellows...

of course i will be depressed and sad by that time but i will not let my depression and sadness be the center of my life. I will try hard to fight for it because i love my life and most importantly, prayers of acceptance and healing. I believe in the power of positive thinking. I will still find hope in what it seems to be a hopeless situation because as what they say losing hope is the greatest sin man can ever commit.

If my doctor told me that I had cancer, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. My mom had cancer, so I know what to expect. I help to nurse her back to health. She's a big inspiration to me. I'd be able to look back at what she went through, and channel her strength as I'm going through the same situation. If I somehow avoid getting cancer, even though various family members have gotten some form of it before, great. I'd rather not have to deal with the unfortunate disease myself. If I do fall victim to it however, I'm not gonna sulk about it. There are a lot of things we can't control in the world. Feeling sorry for yourself, with a why me mentality, isn't going to make the situation any better. You have to be strong mentally for yourself, and those around you.

Cancer is such a terrible disease, I should know. As what my son, a nurse, has seen in the hospital here, the patients are stricken with denial, anger, fear and, most of all, depression. I could say that this will have to be my reaction if ever the big C strikes me. But not only depressed for my lot, but it also goes out to my children and friends, for they would lose someone who is irreplaceable. In that case, I will use my remaining time preparing for the children whom I will leave behind.
