[Help Request] Setting up a DNS

Alright, here is what happened. I registered a domain at company "x" and bought a storage space at company "y". Now, I asked company "x" how can I connect between the domain they sold me to the storage company, and their answer was something about setting up a DNS. Both of the companies didn't explain how to do it, so I'm asking it here, hopefully someone can explain to me step by step how to do it. Thanks in advance! much
