What is your favorite music in Star Trek? It can be any series, any theme, it can be just a short piece in any episode.
My favorite would have to be either the Star Trek TNG intro song, or more specifically, in the last episode "All good things . . ." the music played at the last moment, when the camera was zooming out of the poker game, and then you see the Enterprise in all her beauty floating through space.
Since I can't describe music here, I'll just have to hope you people have watched it and know the music
So, what is your favorite Star Trek music, and why?

Cant believe I am the first one to respond to this, guess there are not too many trek fans on here. I do like the intro song for next gen, and I know the song you are talking about from the end of the series. I would have to say though that I like the more prolonged version of the trek theme intro used in voyager. I am not sure as to why, maybe just because it is drawn out just a bit longer. Its more toned down, not as peppy as NG.

I understand, Voyager has a good theme, it is . . . what's the word for it? . . . more serious, or something. But I personally prefer the older Star Trek's since they sound grand and loud. I also liked the "Space. . . the final frontier. . ." part.
And I'm sure that there are some fans out there, but maybe they did not check this interest yet . . .

Rodsdman, you're the first to respond because I'm new to mylot, lol. For me, it's a toss up between Voyager and Deep Space Nine. Don't get me wrong, I like the music from the Original Series and The Next Generation, too. The Next Generation opening music actually came from of the ending of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. It's works better this way. It's more compact, it's missing all the gunk that didn't quite fit. Peace and long life.

As far as the TNG shows and movies go I like the one the I think is the theme to First Contact, it may have been in the end of Generations too. They use that music throughout the rest of the movies, except for the new one. I'd have to say that for intro music I like Enterprise the best, they went with something a little more classic rock yet powerful, I like that. And it's not just the same shot of the Enterprise over and over again.

Yes, it's the Enterprise music that just seems to be more unique and different than most other of the Star Trek themes. It's a good song, but I have to say that I honestly didn't think it fit for the whole Star Trek thing.

True, it really didn't fit into the music from the other shows and movies. But I think it was perfect for Entertrise because it takes place only in the near future for us and we are still somewhat "crude" as compared to the Utopian society of the 24th century in TNG. Also the intro sequence seems to credit all of our accomplishments that lead up to spaceflight, which is really what ENT is all about.

Well! Beastie Boys Sabotage the Star Trek Soundtrack is mine favorite. I usually watch Star trek episodes online as this series is off air now and listen to the songs also. You can also catch the Star Trek episodes here: http://download-star-trek-episodes.edogo.com/

I love the song used for Enterprise. It's different to what fans were used to and it is a great song.
