Do you pick or squeeze your pimples?

Hold it!!!
Never pick, squeeze or scratch your pimple for it will only worsen it. Resist your urge of even holding your pimples for it can cause infection and you will sure to have a scar if you don't allow it to heal on its own. Never touch it more so, if you haven't wash your hands first.
I know most of us feel irritable and very conscious seeing our pimple especially if it is very ripe... The more we get upset and conscious about it the more others will notice it. Are you a type of a person that ask others how your pimple looks? If yes... then you are just making others notice your pimples more...
Scarring is inevitable as long as you receive a prompt and effective treatment.

I am a total picker. I love it. It is very satisfying and it feels good. Sometimes I try to squeeze or pop a pimple, but that is never enough. I always follow that up by picking/scratching. I hate when it starts to bleed because it is annoying. I do not like when they bleed at all.

Me too! Lol. My Mom says that if you put honey on a pimple before you go to bed that it will help. Lol. Wonder how you stop the bed from getting all sticky?

Hi fancy! It is nice to hear from you. I honestly don't know about that honey... what I know is about brown sugar mixed with virgin coconut oil is best for exfoliating.

Hi carrine! It is nice to know that you don't have problem with pimples. You are right, if one cannot resist squeezing his pimple he must use an acne remover tool. Never squeeze pimple using bare hand for it will only cause infection and scar.

When I was young, I did squeeze some. I am not recommending it, though. Squeezing a pimple with our bare hands can only get it infected. Besides, the skin gets broken and will give us an ugly facial scar.
Dermatologists have their medical techniques. Facials are done in dermatologists' clinics. They use a very fine needle before the pimple is squeezed. It doesn't scar the face. Then, medications will be prescribed by the doctor.

I agree wookieekyut. And they do cleaned and steamed your face first before proceeding to picking. They also have creams that they put after to avoid leaving a scar on your face.
Proper treatment is the best way to combat pimples.

hello lovelyn,I think it's better to let it ripe before you squeeze your pimples, it can leave a very irritating mark on your skin if you do. before you do squeeze it you better have powder so that after getting it out, you pour it so that i will dry quickly and not leave a mark.

Oh that picture is a real severe case... If you will squeeze your pimple be sure not to do with with your hands. There are picking tools available in market/ over the counter. That is safer.

LetranKnight25 this is what it looks like. It is not expensive... very affortable. This is safer and more effective. You can buy this over the counter.

I don't squeeze my pimples. I am just so scared to make it worst to the point of my pimples becoming infected. I just let it be when it got worst, i consulted with a dermatologist for proper care and treatment.

Been there done that, don't care anymore it does scar but usually goes away, however the kind that become potholes are another matter.
An obviously you never had a really big one, because some have to be mashed an drained, like when they to be the size of your thumb god luck with not messing with it, if you let those kind sit, they will be there 6 months an very painful.
At the very least go to Doctor get them lanced, I've had a few the cut them with a scalpel, then inject them with something so it makes it less likely to come back, all that was many years ago.

If your pimple becomes worst, it is better to let the dermatologist handle it for you. Never squeeze it for that will only worsen the situation. Oh boy! I never seen a pimple as big as the thumb! Are you sure it's a pimple?

Lucky for me I rarely have pimples only when I'm having my period or lack sleep and under stress. I never ever pick, squeeze, scrath or put anything on a pimple it will only worsen and leave a scar. I just wash my face with mild soap and water and sleep alot.

Wow that is nice to hear. I believe too, d_red_madelaine, the simple washing our face could promote and give us blemish free skin. However, we should not over wash as well.

Right lindiebiz. It can cause infection and scars too. That is more uglier. We should just let it dries and heals on its own. And if it really bothers you, just put anti-acne cream so that it will dry and heal more faster.

HI lovelyn_medrano
I dont pick or squeeze the pimple.
I leave it as it is till it gets dried by itself. If we pick or squeeze it leaves a marks, and it there is any puss formation when we squeeze or pick the liquid comes out and again because of infection the pimples will be more.

Squeezing pimples could cause infections worst if you don't wash your hands first. It is also advisable not to even touch your pimples.
It is good that you let your pimple dries up by itself, deepasuramani.

Hi tariqueahmed89! Welcome to mylot! Are you having fun?
Squeezing pimples will leave scars and dark spots. I agree with you the best way to combat those pimples is to apply anti acne creams.

When I was a teenager, I used to have a lot of pimples. I use to pick them or squeeze them. But someone told me that it is not advisable to do such thing since it will cause a permanent damage as well as create an opening and it may cause infection. I then stop after that. Now however, I barely have pimples. It will only go out when I am exposed to dust or when I do not have much sleep.

Acne commonly occurs as the puberty begins... Too much stress, lack of sleep and genetics are all contributing factors. Pollution and dirt as well.
It is good that you stop picking and squeezing your pimples

Oh, but it's so hard not to squeeze or pick at them. Maybe you guys aren't neurotic like I am or something. Lol. I was one of those scab picking kids. I think that explains it all.

No, I never do it and rarely have pimples except when I am about to have my period I could have pimples numbering from 1 to 3 in my forehead. They are so small that I just let them ripen and they just disappear in a matter of days. Thus, I know if i squeeze my pimples the fluid would be infected and thus giving me more pimples. To maintain pimple free one must avoid eating food rich in fats and eat instead fresh fruits and vegetables then take a lot of Vitamin D and multi-vitamin could really help to stay pimple free.

My pimples also come out when I am about to have my menstruation... That is actually the first sign... That is why I am always ready ( I never had my period without sanitary napkins on my bag)
