If your house caught fire and you could only save one thing excluding people, what would it be? I'll save my wallet with all the important documents, what would yours be?

In a situation like this as a mother I can't think about anything but my children. If there is nobody inside I will rush to take my insurance papers ,that will give everything I have lost.Thank you.

My furry buddies! I have four inside cats and four dogs and they would be the first thing I put in the car. The documents in my wallet can be replaced, but the animals are defenseless and are trusting that I will protect them. And I would live up to their trust.

That was very thoughtful of you to think of your pets. They had trust on you to be well cared.

I have considered that possibility. And I have done something to save very important things. I have placed inside a big bag all important documents that I find necessary and hard to source in case they are lost or burned to dust. Also placed inside the bag are some of my valuables. When exigencies happen, fire included, we can just readily grab that bag to quick safety and not spend time looking for these things. Fires happen so quickly that sometimes, you only have time to save yourself.

I do agree with you. Fire happen so quickly, so one should be prepared beforehand in case it happen and having all the important documents and valuable for easy access will definitely helps.

I would save my laptop or my travel photos which ever was easier to reach. I would hope that my two pet dogs would be safe just like the people. My sister's mother in law lit a candle and then fell asleep. Her curtains caught fire and her flat was on fire. The damage was considerable and luckily nobody was caught.

I'd save my laptop, and I'd cheat for the purposes of thi discussion and ask my husband to save the documents and our wedding photos, which are kept together in a metal box. I have hundreds of articles on my laptop - the result of several year's work, and I'd hate to lose them. Although they have all been published online, there may come a day when I'd want to incorporate some of them into a book. My articles are like children to me - I want to keep them with me.
