I decided to start a tradition of carving jack-o-lanterns,cooking the seeds and on Halloween night we all dump the candy and have tradeing time. My youngest has Celiac's and is on a gluten free diet so this way he can trade up for things he can have. This has to be one of my favorite holidays for kids. What is your tradition?

Hi ya deberooney
I don't know really, we have only just started celebrating Hallowe'en in our family for the last 3 years as my ex-husband would never have allowed it. The first year I got the kids dressed up and we went to an outdoor party run by our local council for all the children in the town. Then we moved so the following year I invited a friend and her daughter over and I decorating the house and we played games. I didn't want to take them out trick or treating because I didn't know the area that we lived in well. The following year we decorated the house, made jack'o'laterns and I took them out trick or treating and then my friend took my eldest out round her way and me and my other 2 kids waited in for the other kids to come around! This year we will be cutting the pumpkins again and I have invited a few friends around with their kids for some party food and then we shall go out trick or treating. So I guess the Jack 'O' Laterns and trick or treating is the traditional things for us that we have stuck to!
