This film is a fantastic movie. It's casting is so apt and the music so mesmerizing. We always used the phrase," The Last of the Mohicans.". What does it mean? Can anyone care to explain this?I love the movie. I have seen at at least 6 times. I love the innate beauty of Madeleine Stowe;the bravery of Hawkeye, the battle scenes and the savaging war between the French and the British involving the killing of the territorial militia and the Hurons and Mohawks.
This film depicts the wars that finally saw Canada divided between French and British forces. Its impact can be seen clearly on the demography of modern time Canada.
Have you seen this classic movie?

The book by James Fennamore Cooper is a must read. The movie was heavenly. I like the way Day Lewis potrays Hawkeye and that chap who played Chingachook, the Last of the Mohicans. The guy who played the antagonist Magua was in his element! Fantastic music score! It resonates in your head long after the movie has ended.

Yes, the scenery of the bristling cold weather in the Canadian mountain is beautiful. The tall conifers and the mountains adds to the beauty of the movie. And as I said, so, with the pulsating good music, this movies is a must see! Thanks for coming by.

I love this movie. The love story of Madeleine stowe. The phrases Hawkeye says"I will find you Just stay alive No matter how far I will find you" I love that part it means no matter how apart you are to your love ones. You will find a way just to be with her.
