By the end of my shift tomorrow, I will know if I have a new job. It's in the same company that I work for now but it's better hours, more money and more responsabilities so I can really work to my full potental. I'm really nervouse because 3 other people in the office have gone for the job as well, we all had our interviews on Friday and got told me will know by Monday. The thing is, I've never been in job where I've gone for another job and not got it so I don't know how I will feel if I don't get it. I'm worried that I'll end up feeling resentfull and hate the company. Has anyone else been in this position before?

hello, no i have never been in that position, but i hope you get the job. i understand how it is hard to try and stay calm, but just keep thinking positive thoughts. if things don't turn out in your favor just try to think of it in a positive way, i know it will be hard. i'll be praying that you get it but if you don't then maybe there is a much better job out there for you. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best thing to remember is you did your best it will make it so much sweeter when you get the job. Think positive mate it's the only way you will succeed in life. As for the situation you are in yes I previously worked in a job where i was set to be the next manager and the the area manager hired her husband for the role no previous experience I had 3 years there under my belt at the time and out of nowhere this guy pops up no idea what he's doing giving bad orders. At the end of the day it's not what you know its who try get chummy with the top man and hopefully things will fall into place for you. Best of luck mate!

Cheers, I get on really well with the boss so with a bit of luck that may help, I think I've got the most experience for the job as well, I made sure I told them as much as I could in the interview

no SuzyLong but tell yourself you have just as much chance as anyone else there, and you just might be happily surprised on Monday. Good luck. keep up your self confidence as you know had to be doing good work to get far enough to apply for an interview. So you have a lot of potential and the superiors must know that. Hold up your head and tell yourself I am good enough to get this job. If you have got other jobs by moving up,you know you have a lot of chances of acing this one too. if not you may want to try for a different job but I kind of think you will get this one as you really want it.

just keep your confidence and show them they won't regret on hiring you. if you feel unconfident before the job starts then you way end up loosing it. everything is a learning process. the company won't expect too much for new employees but will look forward for developments.i had the same experience whenever i worked on new companies.

Hi SusyLong! Nice words you had from Brad. I only want to add this. What we think is what we will get! The more you feel nervous and concerned about becoming resentful, the more chances it will really happen. You are just spending your time until tomorrow by programing your own mind. So, don't be surprised if it will happen exactly like in the scenario you imagined. Stop doing this, forget about the future and do not waste any of the precious 'now' moments that you have.

.. Well ive never been in this exact position before but i would like to offer some advice. If you do get the job, good for you, if you dont then there are always more opportunities to get ahead in life. You shouldnt blame the company or anybody else, just strive to do better so next time the opportunity arrives you will get it for sure. Good luck!

Hi SuzyLong Keep you head up and eyes wide open, and don't let your guard down. Just remember that you know that it is a job that your worthy of and there might be chance that the next person is the same as you. If you get the job, then congrats to you,if you don't get the job then look at this way that maybe it wasn't meant to be. I know that might an old saying but there really is some truth to it. Don't be hard on yourself and just work a little harder for the next position coming your way..Have a great day and keep smiling.
