I need some help with ebay. Two years ago for my wedding I made some favors using plastic spoons and hersey's kisses. I want to sell them on ebay, but I am not sure if I can sell them because I do not know if they require a food license. If anyone knows please let me know.
Thank you

I have never heard of needing a Food license to sell things like this on Ebay. I would think if anything you might need to check with your local area to see about that if you are selling them to people locally. I sell Jerky thru a site both online and offline. It is pre-packaged but in order to do samples here in this area some of the events and such I have considered doing, you need to have a Food handlers card, etc. It makes for a frustrating adventure for sure.

Thank you. I will have to check it out and see. I make homemade fudge and would like to sell it. Your jerkey sounds like a great business idea. Have you tried selling it on esty?

That I am not sure of. I don't recall ever seeing food for sale on ebay. I have seen food for sale on a site called Etsy though. You should take a look around Etsy it is a site where people sell their craft objects. So it sounds like a better place to try and sell what you are selling than Ebay.

I am not completely sure, but because Hershey Kisses is an approved food I don't think you need a food license for that. I believe that, that only applies to foods that you would make yourself. Since the food is approved and part of something else I would believe that it would be OK to sell them without a food license.
