Christmas memory: what was the best Christmas gift you have ever received?

I have several I can think of, going back to childhood, so I guess I have some pretty good gift givers around me! When I was little my favorite gift for Christmas was when I got a guitar, probably, but I also remember every stuffed toy I was given - there were a couple of polar bears, including a giant one, a big black bear, a monkey....there were a lot.... Then, when I was older, I got a keyboard/electric piano which was great, as I write songs and I could use this to make them better and record them. In my twenties, one year my parents bought me a computer. I was still living at home at the time. I didn't expect much that year, being older and money was tight, but I went downstairs Christmas morning and it was all setup for me. The first year I was married, which was also my first Christmas after moving to America from England, my husband bought me a new keyboard, because I'd had to leave the other one behind. But probably my favorite one is the necklace which he gave me before we were married. We were engaged, but I was back in England for a year while we went through the visa process. He had sent me a gift and was upset that it hadn't arrived in the mail - it finally did on Christmas Eve! It was a little gold duck on a gold chain (you see my name on here is English Tea Duck, I actually draw duck cartoons and I came from 'over the pond' so its kind of an in joke and pet name.) I wore it for our wedding. My other best gifts come from my best friend, Sarah, back in England. She sends me a box of stuff from England I can't get here, with all the little things only your best friend knows you'd want! So those are my lifetime of great gifts!

Dec 26, 2001,though a day after christmas,the spirit and joy of giving and receiving is still very much alive.This is the day i got the mother' of all christmas presents" actually "daughter of all presents is more apt" Yup ,my wife delivered a bundle of joy this day,actually she went into labour christmas day and had my little girl been not so stubborn,would have arrived on christmas,but never mind,its still the most precious and wonderful gift a guy can have for christmas. Now lucky her,double presents every year,Christmas n B;day presents.Last year,she was almost 8 and she made me a present in form of a card that says,'I love my best daddy" ,if given a choice ,i ll settle for this written words from her anytime than a rolex or gold chain! Afterall,its about how a present is suppose to make you feel,and how meaningful it is to you persanally.need i say more, anyway ,to ye all.,merry christmas in advance,and plan how to make the most of the coming new year!

the best gifts i have gotten have been from my kids. i used to love the homemade christmas ornaments that they made in school. alas, they are older now (12 and 16) but childhood is so short and sweet, i miss those days.

The best Christmas gift I received so far was the pink journal last December 2007. It is really memorable because I love writing and spent most of the day pouring anxieties, worries, dreams and inspirations on the pages of my notebook, so a personal journal is really what I want for a gift and somebody really get what I always wished in life. Right now, my pink personal journal is one of my most prized position in life and I really took extra care of it, I cover it with cellophane even if the journal is already a hard bound.

I can't remember the best gift that I ever had because in our family we don't exchanging gifts. My mother buy us new things every Christmas like clothes when we are younger she never bought us toys because she said we always broke the toys. Gifts are not important as long your family are all there it is enough gift for Christmas.

The best Christmas gift i ever received was from my late husband. it was the year before we got married. He had his dad make a false bottom in a large box. My husband filled it with old magazines and newspapers. At the bottom were the words gotcha. Underneath the false bottom was my engagement ring. My husband proposed to me that night. It was the best Christmas gift I have ever received and I treasure the memory of this Christmas always!

Earrings from my aunt and a wonderful necklace from my former officemate. I also got money when I was still in college, it was given to me by my older sister, I spent it buying new clothes and a pony rubber shoes that time. When I was younger the best give I had is from my dad, its a doll (princess sarah) he bought it in U.A.E. and i think its special.

Christmas is a time of giving and sharing of the blessings. This is the time that we injoy giving gift to our friend, God son, God daughter, and loveones. In my case i seldom receive a material gift from my friends and loveones. What makes me happy during the christmas is I spent my time with my family and friend. We were together in celebrating christmas and attending the "SIMBANG GABI" as the filipino's tradition. This is also the that we receive our BUNOS as a government eployees.
