If the whole world stopped speaking, what would the world be like?

Okay, here's another tricky question that just popped randomly into my head. I think its a very interesting theory though, although its quite frightening as well. What changes do you think will occur (in a wide sense, both good and bad bits)? How will the government act for the people? What would you do?

Interesting thought! If somethng like that were to happen it would certainly up our reading and writing skills wihtout a doubt since that and sign language would be pretty much the only means of communication.. It would definatley be an adjustment but I think life would pretty much go on as it does now.

hi friend, i think one result is that every mouth is smelly,hahaha...just joking. and i think i would keep quiet if most people do, i am always an ordinary girl. and i listen to what my mom tells me to do. and the goverment would be very serious about this phenomenon, they would think out a way to solve this problem. and i believe the national leaders finally can solve this problem.

I think it would be peaceful.. sometimes there is way to much noise.. although now that I think about it. I would hate to have to watch all my TV in captions.. lol

there could be silence...no nagging for naggers no bragging for those who think they are always better than others but no singers as well...we will be bored but we could be good actors and actresses doing all those signs and body languages lol. our emotions are more readable and thoughts are more revealed. after all, action speaks louder than words, isn't it

The world will turn to a noisy place for screams. Everybody will start to scream. So, there is no scope of getting a silent world. Day by day, it will go silent. People will start communication by sign languages. By the by, will the net remain active at that time? Then mails, blogging, chatting and sms by mobiles will get a very big priority. Newspapers will get a very busy schedules. At family level also, some hourly newspaper will be published as to expose parent's order, husband's request, wife's demand, school teacher's hometask etc etc. Government will go for sms, printing new orders in newspapers... they are going face some real jokes. ha ha ha.. have a nice day. Thank you.
