what makes friends drift apart?

I have a bestfriend for 10 now. up to now i consider her as my bestfriend but i feel that we are drifting apart.

Hi there feevjune1 and welcome to myLot I have had many friends in my life that have drifted in and drifted out, I think mainly because our lives have taken a different direction but I still have some friends of 10 or more years that I am still in contact with although we are not as close as we used to be mainly because a few hundred miles have done that!!
